I keep thinking back to when Pardew kept Ben Arfa on the bench with the likes of Raylor and Obertan getting in ahead of him and how bad it seemed. Then I think how good it would be now just to have him back in the matchday squad.

I was working yesterday so didn't see any of the game. If Tiote and De Jong are fit for Villa what way are we expecting things to change?

The pure joy of welcoming Hba back into the squad, for however short a period of time following Pardew leaving would be worth it despite the horrors Ashley would then no doubt inflict on us.

There is something not right about the lack of games Tiote has played pre season. I get the feeling the club is doing all it can to move him on. Unfortunately that is always the way it will be under this regime. I fully expect our top performer this season to be gone in January or next summer too.

My thoughts too! The last few days, when hearing about the game, I thought with it being in Cardiff, it was the Millenium. Only this morning, tuning into SSN did I notice they were training and will be playing at the Cardiff City stadium! How much did Vincent Tan pay to get the game played there? IF, and its a big if, we could get Grenier for a similar price to what we get for Tiote I wouldnt be against it. Anita/Colback/Abeid can all potentially fill in for Tiote

With De Jong out injured it seems we don't have a set formation or first 11. Hard to see who De Jong and Tiote come in for out of that for the city game.
