  1. Discuss......James Lawton... "one old striker of the highest quality yesterday had a ready solution for Hughton. It was to take what he could of the extraordinary vitality of the young giant on the field - right up to the January transfer window. Then sell him off for a cool £30M or so before getting on with the building of a superior spirit at Newcastle and await his own best opportunities, in the form of a perversely delayed contract offer from the club he has served so well or inevitable overtures from elsewhere". !It seems obvious to me," said the old pro," that Carroll needs to be taken out of Newcastle, away from a locality and acquaintances that have taught him the way he is apparently currently living. He needs a new big club in a big city. He needs that kind of shake-up and if he doesn't get it I can see a lot of tears" I hope Cashley doesn't see the £30Milllion remark and has Lawton not seen what going to a so called big club did for Rooney ? By staying at the Toon, there's far less temptation for Carroll. I just hope the "old striker" wasn't Shearer, cos I 'm relying on his and Hughtons influence to manage Carrolls development and many future years at Newcastle.
  2. Surely the biggest loss would be Tiote. We'd have to change our whole gameplan as there's no one like him at the club.

  4. I don't know, I'm not party to the full facts of the case. True, but he's hardly got a cleaner than clean past. I'd say it was pretty likely that he did actually glass somebody, with intent. You might want to edit that , and slip in an "alledgedly" otherwise you might find you're the next one before the beak
  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11571944 Sports Direct and JJB Sports fraud probe is dropped Tennis balls Sports Direct owns Dunlop, Slazenger and Lonsdale The Serious Fraud Office's (SFO) investigation into Sport Direct and JJB Sport over an alleged cartel has been dropped with no charges brought. The SFO had been investigating the two companies following a referral from the Office of Fair Trading. However, the SFO will continue looking in to individuals' activities. The initial move by the SFO came after JJB said it had blown the whistle on a suspected cartel in the sports retail market. The case involves "suspected agreement or concerted practice to dampen competition in the sports retail market" during June 2007 to March 2009. Sports Direct International's brands include Dunlop, Slazenger and Lonsdale. It is controlled by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley.
  6. WTF do you expect from Allardyce who took us for £6miilion and Strachan has the decency to walk
  7. by whom.. the fugging media ? it was lurv at first sight for me ... never doubted him.. of course he's fu***ed up a few times. Put him in a top 4 side and he'll become a world class left back.... we're holding him back, and long may it continue.
  8. Get real boys and girls... or should that be apostrophes ? Recognised wingers/whatever go for big wedge .. even to teams other than Citeh. You can't expect the finished article for a few £million these days. His performance was as good as that little sh1t from Tottingham and way better than £12million Downing. Both he and Jonas do my head in, but their workrate and effort has some class included, unlike Smiffy.
  9. Another reason I won't miss it.... Manchester United have denied that veteran defender Gary Neville is ready to hang up his boots and accept a job with Sky Sports.
  10. Paul Magrath or Norman Whiteside I'd like to have said George but sadly I've not had any Miss Worlds nor his silky skills
  11. Thanks for the £££££Millions in compensation and wages I've taken off you http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/8733645.stm I'll leave it a couple of weeks and come in for some of your talent that will condemn you to near relegation next season
  12. As I've said before , the game needs people like Keegan. Much like Bobby, he loves the game and inspires people with his passion and enthusiasm. What more could you want ? He's seen by many as a failure as a manager, but in my eyes it's the modern game that's failed him.... the result driven /instant success bollox. It may not be the "best" for our club , but I'd want to see him back in football in an instant.
  13. The next orange one.. but a bit more qoteable
  14. See what happens when the Tories get in.. cnuts
  15. The Terriers very poor tonight... nothing stuck up front. Morison looks handy for the Cockney Scum ... Conference league recently the commentators said.
  16. He's got a fantastic work ethic.. but so has Kuyt... aka shite. He's always an option to relieve pressure 'cos he'll receive the ball and run with it. However, his creativity and finishing is still very questionable. Given the current midfield however, he's first name on the sheet. He could do very well in a team with good players.. which of course we don't have. Fingers crossed he steps up to the plate so to speak. He'll certainly be a novelty in the Premiership, despite most of them already having seen him a couple of times. Give me Robert everytime... lazy French cnut, but gave us spectacular goals and assists.
  17. It's not hard.. it's sneaky. There's 15 video clips with 5 marks for each... pass rate is 46 or something. You have to click on hazzards as they develop. Click too early and it doesn't register. Click too often and you get zip.... the barstewards don't define " too many". Result is you can get 0 or 5 on a question. Seems click often is the way to pass..... but you only find out after you've coughed up £31 and failed. Another stealth tax. CNUTS
  18. I'd quit while you're ahead.... err.... make that behind.... Twice in one day.. who'd have thought
  19. He's done fu**ll apart from his goal haul. We need a midfielder with a work ethic, not this fat lazy fu**er. And before you ask , yes I'm very grateful for his goal haul. The hope is we replace him. Not been watching the last 8 games or so? Think Nolan offers a lot more to the club, perhaps moreso to Hughton, than just his on-field performances. probably captain already in all but name and a sure bet for the armband next season Without his goals he's the next Nicky Butt... and we all know what that means

  21. Call me sad and bitter, but it's been quite a season. We get promoted with a likely 100+ points and pi** off all the gutter inhabitors who reveled in our demise. Ar*s get spanked by Messi and win nothing this season once again. The Scousers finish <4th and piss off their 2 quality players. It can only be the Scouse Mafia keeping Gerrard at Liverpool... why should he want to play for that team ? Manure miss out on the title and prove they are a one-man team... even Fergie recognises that by playing him last night. The end of that tashless cnut Neville. Out of the CL to a very poor BM. They only win the League cup by cheating. I can see Fergie retiring, cos he's got such a massive rebuild to do and no wonga The Smoggies are nowhere near the play-offs Just need WHU to get their just desserts over the Tevez affair and extra, extra cream on top would be the mackems to get relegated. There again, the prospect of seeing Bent missing penalties/sitters does have some appeal.
  22. Geordie... my arse.. I'm going to sue the feckers for libel. From Whitburn, Sunderland based... 32 secs in "Sunderland supporters branch". What those makems have resorted to for entertainment.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/8600616.stm
  23. I knew Ricky Martin had come out, I didn't know any of our lot had... any names ?
