    Hatem Ben Arfa

This is why we need a set piece taker signed in the summer. Teams are shit scared of him already and try to foul him but imagine if they were also shit scared of giving away a free kick?

I can't think of an occasion this season. Well he definitely won a penalty that Ferguson will blame if Man Utd don't win the league. It was a great tackle. The ref just got it wrong. My bad, I had completely forgotten about the incident. Too many good Ben Arfa moments. Apart from the goal and putting the ref on his arse, I don't know if anyone mentioned that moment against Bolton where a waist high ball was going out for a through in, Ben Arfa ran after it and dropped it right at a team mates feet even though the team mate was stood about 15 yards behind him.

  6. It has been good because the so called top four has suddenly looked fallible and keeps needing to be redefined. Outside of Man Utd it is unpredictable. However the top clubs are maybe lacking those wizards from past times and the media and these clubs remain hyping about players that are now past their prime. I am excited for the future though as the current climate is ripe for us to challenge for the league within two seasons.
  7. Our goalkeeper has kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper, I think that our defence can not significantly improve although i will be the first to say it needs more depth and can be better offensively. The main reasons we are only joint 4th are that we had defenders injured and our defence and midfield are not creating or scoring enough goals. So while defensive depth is needed, getting more goals from midfield will be what really pushes us on and siggurdson will become world class with regards to that and make us an amazing team.
  8. He would be Pardew's Laurent Robert only in central midfield. If we only bought one player in the summer that we can realistically sign it would be him. Sign him and keep all the others here and fit and we will be in the Champions League every season.
  9. Would pay much more than 8 million for Sigurdsson I think he will become better than Lampard. Defensively we can't improve much more. We are all about the unit and we really just need bodies to cover for injuries and improve consistency. Where we could really leap forward is with quality of set pieces and goals from midfield and Sigurdsson can do that with Cabaye and Tiote bossing the midfield.
  10. Lets just wait. we have seen players rush back for a pointless final couple of games then turn up to pre season injured.
  11. Such a terrible memorial that Stanley Matthews Way is just an area full of car showrooms. And you can see a quarter of the pitch from outside the stadium. Some fans just turn up outside, watch the quarter of the game and listen to the rest from the radio because its much better than what they get to see otherwise.
  12. I see there are going to be awards commemorating 20 years of the Premier League. Alan Shearer has 4 nominations. 3 Newcastle games are up for best match. Other nominations for Keegan, Given, Ketsbaia and Lua Lua for things they did at Newcastle. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/20-seasons/
  13. Is be tempted to play Taylor at left back, Jonas in central midfield and leave Guthrie and Santon on the bench. Taylor should be able to deal with the Stoke winger and i can see us winning a lot of free kicks.
  14. I apologise for claiming you have an anti British footballer agenda. It is clear that I was mistaken. It is an anti footballer from English speaking country agenda. Based on what? All I'm saying is that there has been very few Australian footballers at the top level and even those that are considered to be the most successful would struggle to make our current first XI when at their peaks. The emotive language was because aussiemag was in the thread, point still remains. I have no agenda. I would take Bresciano and Cahill as our third in our midfield three, Kewell over Jonas or Ba on our left and Viduka over Ba upfront. Neill over Simpson, and Moore over williamson too.

  16. Most unimaginative pun award goes to...... Thats a Good idea, actually. Good Point
  17. Everton away where having qualified for the CL, all the players throw all their kit into the Newcastle section and head down the tunnel. Staying on the pitch is Alan Pardew who takes off his suit, tie, shirt, trousers and shoes and socks into the crowd in a moment reminiscent of Laurent Robert. egged on by the crowd he yanks of his briefs, throws them into the crowd then jumps into the crowd and proceeds to shag two busty blondes in full view of the supporters and Andy Woodman.
  18. I was told by a friend of Tim Krul's in 2009 that Chelsea had bid for him in January that year around about £2m. Joe Kinnear asked the board to accept the bid, but Dennis Wise arranged a meeting with Krul and his representatives to tell him that he has a bright future at Newcastle and advised him to stay. Krul agreed and Wise went to the board to tell them to reject bids from Chelsea and Feyenoord as he was a future number one, and if we decided to cash in we could get more money at a later date.
  19. Considering where we were when we signed he repaid his transfer fee. It's just what we want to do with him now, has he fulfilled all he can here?
  20. Old school friend of my fathers, played in the same team. hope he pulls through.
  21. I doubt Cole could pick out Pardew in a 30000 crowd so they probably said hello. Moot point anyway, the question is who at lille is being watched?
  22. Doesn't mean we are signing Cole, but it does sound like we are looking very closely at a Lille player.
  23. Im on my phone. look up the Eurosport website.
  24. It's according to Cole himself. At Lille games.
  25. Alan Pardew has met with Joe Cole at least half a dozen times this season according to Joe Cole.
