  1. I just shat out my christmas dinner all over my christmas presents.
  2. Perch should be starting central midfield every game. With the others playing for the right to play with Perch
  3. Because of the knee and insurance issue, £7.5m will be Ba's maximum market value. He will never go for any more. His clause is there for a simple reason he wants to maximise his earnings and or career opportunities knowing his career could end at any time. His release clause is too low for us based on how good he is, but very high for others based on the risk involved. Unless he gets a stupid offer he will always want an escape route so the clause is near impossible to remove in my opinion.

This is really his test now. When a proper slump kicked in at west Ham he lost his job. I don't think he has ever reversed a mojor worrying slump. However turn this around and I think he will improve as a manager, which will be good for us long term. I really don't understand the stick he is getting when you consider our past managers and the current alternatives.
  5. I don't think he is much cop myself. Maybe with games he will improve but he's just too slow and anonymous. I much prefer Sammy, Ferguson and Obertan.
  6. I would change expectations for the season. Write the season off as transitional in the league. Try to get a cup run going. Give a bit more game time to Ferguson, Sammy, Bigirimana, Amalfitano, Good, Tavernier, Vuckic (if fit) and Campbell, see if it helps strengthen us for future seasons. Experiment a bit, try to find a magic formula. Try to win every game but don't stress out when we are only mid table.
  7. Because the NUFC official twitter said it was four four two? Because the NUFC official twit is allowed into team tactic meetings?
  8. Why are we jumping to 442 conclusions? Can easily be 433 or switched to 433 mid-game.

We should be asking the PL if we can postpone the game to challenge this in the courts. Threaten legal action for loss of earnings against the PL if we don't win and the courts vindicate our position.
  10. Although I do like the look of Debuchy, I do think that in general full backs and hard working wingers - especially flank running types have an earlier average age of peak and decline than most positions, and Debuchy is slap bang in the middle of this period. We are seeing what is happening with Jonas, with him not looking as quick or sharp as before, and sruggling to adapt to a new role. With the management structure we have, would we therefore get more benefits from uncovering another Santon rather than someone who maahy come off the boil quickly like what happened to Beye?

Cabaye's not playing well because he turned up to preseason unfit, then sat out a load of preseason matches as an agent tricked him into believing he was going Spurs. Tiote's not playing well due to injuries, it always takes him a bit to get up to speed. Cisse is not playing well because if he was still scoring at the same rate he was when he joined he wouldn't be playing for Newcastle. Nothing to do with tactics.

I would say have curried goat, but the fact of the matter is that he never ate the curried goat himself.
  13. Thanks Beren for heeding my thoughts. Roy Keane... I must admit I wasn't aware of how good he was until 1998 or 1999. Before then I thought he was back up to Nicky Butt. But then again I was 13 at the time. Since then he has established himself as a top player in my mind, the real leader of Man Utd on the pitch and there is no doubt that they miss him still.

Proven to have been assaulted beforehand in the night in question. Wound up and pushed two police away from him. Probably a harsh punishment tbh.
  15. If all the players are going to be uncontroversial foreign flair types i am going to create my own spin off.
  16. he played well. any criticism would be about defensive positioning. balls came in from the right a few times because he got too close to perch so was too far away when balls got hit out wide.

How many more goals in Europe than Sunderland is it now?

I am thinking about his future retirement with a tear in my eye.

I love the amazingness, followed by the pass miles overhit, followed by the amazingness, followed by the stepovers and tripping over the ball.
  20. I love Europe. Shola our best player. Closely followed by Obertan.

    Fraser Forster

who was the last academy product to be called up to the England squad? Taylor? well done to Fraser but well done also to Paul Barron for developing two excellent international level goalkeepers.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

And against Spurs Chelsea Villa Everton Norwich which is hardly like he has been doing it against poor teams. i wonder how his shooting passing tackling and interceptions stack up against other wingers
