  1. Scary to think that Burnley and Everton games have contributed to over a third of our points
  2. Because I’m a big believer in the butterfly effect. Right now, all thanks to Greg, a baby hedgehog has just been run over by Mrs Cole of Macclesfield. To cut a long story short this triggers a series of events that lead to a 3-0 Burnley win
  3. I don’t really get why this had to be announced today. Would have been better to announce this during the international break or at the very end of the season. We have a big game at the weekend and this is an unnecessary distraction.
  4. Think they’ve made some good choices as Guardians otherwise I would have been worried about the money. It’s worth a fundraise
  5. Too many unknown variables mean I couldn’t say one way or another. don’t know if PIF will takeover in the Championship or if they will even be allowed. don’t know what the outcome of arbitration etc will be if we stay in this league. Don’t know of any other viable bidders and what the circumstances will be for them taking over. don’t know what a relegation would look like this time if Ashley can’t sell.
  6. Ah someone who got the in-joke!
  7. This has me trembling with rage tbh. Gone from Rafa whose every waking minute was on the job to this part time ego

    More money for Exeter City

    Transfer rumours

Yes in accounting terms it’s the same amount of money. if we had a good recruitment team I’d rather we had the full amount of money to buy to players rather than get Armstrong and be restricted to the 40% value on player two
  10. Was thinking about the three days a week training thing, bet Charnley is delighted at the reduced utility bills
  11. https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-newcastle-stars-plot-face-to-face-charnley-talks-after-shock-manager-twist-today/ This was the first source to report Graeme Jones I believe
  12. Sorry to sound like a broken record but if Bruce is still here next week it means that Ashley reckons he can challenge relegation through the courts. I really couldn’t see any other logical explanation

    Transfer rumours

Hope he bonds well with the squad
  14. ‘The other knacker’ being an 18 year old who has gone on to win multiple leagues, cups and the Champions League
  15. Given - Ireland Solano - Peru Albert - Belgium Coloccini - Argentina Enrique - Spain Ginola - France Tiote - Ivory Coast Speed - Wales Robert - Reunion Islands Shearer - England Asprilla - Columbia Srnicek - Czech Republic Schar - Switzerland Acuna - Chile Mirandinha - Brazil Hughie Gallagher - Scotland Gillespie - Northern Ireland Ba - Senegal Almiron - Mexico
  16. He could put forward two arguments which may work. Either a) players and potential managers turned the club down due to uncertainty regarding the takeover. Alternatives weren’t considered good enough. Or b) certain limitations created by the sale environment meant he was only able to spend £X, of which got spent. If either of these are his defence then if he plans the legal route he is presently completely tied down and prevented from sacking Bruce
  17. Anyone checking Ando07 will go to ground for a bit with the mole hunt in full swing?
  18. Don’t at all believe the sports science thing about 3 days a week. Even if not exerting themselves there is plenty of work that can be done on the training ground when in the middle of a relegation battle

He drew Leeds vs Man Utd? If that video was shown at his trial he defo would have been impeached for incitement!
  20. Fraser for ASM and a Longstaff for Almiron, personally would say Matty. Dummett for Lewis. Derek Wright at right back

I think Fulham will stay up comfortably now, for them it was all about turning draws into wins and they’ve started to do it. We are in a direct showdown with Brighton and Burnley. Brighton look vulnerable but that could change if they beat us
  22. The one hope I’d cling onto is that as Bruce has continuously refused to play a number 10 until Jones came in which has gotten tHe best out of Almiron but could also get the best out of the Longstaffs which could mitigate the loss a bit.
  23. In hindsight he was probably behind our best ever youth output with players he had in the academy moving into the first team (or playing significantly more) when he was manager. Krul, Taylor, N’Zogbia, Ramage, Edgar, Huntington were all young players he developed that went on to have a decent professional career. Hardly groundbreaking but it was the best we have managed for decades. I think that was the biggest mistake of not replacing him as caretaker in the end as he would have been a greater asset in our academy.
  24. RIP seems he has been fighting this tumour for well over a decade so huge respect for that too above and beyond his contribution to our club
