  1. If he plays like this til season end Shelvey will be on the plane imo. All everyone want's to see is consistency and more maturity
  2. Worried about Slimani's match fitness tbh. The speed he is getting prepared to get on.....
  3. This season would have been a mid table stroll if we had strikers that could finish consistently.
  4. Same as 90% of his games. Replace Gayle and Perez with two quality players and we would have already strolled this game.
  5. We are slowly but surely shitting the bed in this game. Haven't turned up the second half and Huddersfield have pressed far better and got organized at the back. We look tired.
  6. It was, how the fuck the referee never gave it though? It might have something to do with the referee coming from Huddersfield. Came off the players knee apparently which doesn't count. Whats the point in the rule if that is the actual intent either way?
  7. Great half bar the usual Gayle finishing. He is half a great player, usually in the right place and great movement but boy could we be 6 places higher if our front line could finish more regularly. So frustrating. This is what relegates teams. If we stay up I hope the bulk of our funds go on two quality strikers and and number 10.
  8. Slimani on the bench. Hope we don't have to use him but he gets a run out.
  9. The great escape is on marra.
  10. This. Trying to get off the floor from laughing, not least because I'm rolling around in the coffee I spat out reading that.
  11. Looked pretty tidy in possession and passing. Good news on the injury front.
  12. Few observations: Diame was our bestest. Dwight Gayle not fit to wear the shirt. 45 mins of stoppage time? You're having a laugh. Even the commentator was lackadaisical and soft spoken. Where is the passion. What's become of this club. Another 3 points dropped. We doomed.
  13. We'd be fucking first of we won every game. Fewmin! A win to huddersfield might well be enough looking at stoke west ham and Southampton fixtures. Will be two of those, fingers crossed.
  14. Would have preferred they won or drew tbh. That said from a west brom board point of view, a step further towards being mathematically relegated so they can sack him off.
  15. only 1 on bet365 https://streamable.com/lxr1k I think that's 1 of 1 rather than 2 of 2. Clue is the commentator saying Sunderland down to 10 men.
  16. Would have loved to have seen both Shelvey and Lascelles in there. I think they both deserve it. That is through rose tinted specs though. Lascelles was likely the more deserving but there is a lot of competition. I think its a bit silly not to have taken him to have a look though, that is what friendlies are for. He is a great leader and very vocal. Maybe he would add something different in the dressing room and squad. Guess we won't know now until after the world cup. Shelvey still has a lot to prove in terms of discipline and 3 great performances don't really make up for a lot of ill disciplined and poor ones. While Jamaal is the more deserving of the two Shelvey is till the more likely to get on the plane. Simply because he offers something different to our other midfield options I think he is still in with a shot for the summer but that will depend entirely on keeping his form consistent and improving from now until season end.
  17. Next up west Brom sack Pardew and bring him back the next day wearing a fake moustache, Alain Pardou motivator extraordinaire.
  18. Shame. I would have preferred Southampton to stay up at the expense of palace, west ham or stoke. Now I'm not so sure. Hughes is a bellend. Can't believe they brought in a manager they was just sacked for the same reason Pellegrino was. Maybe they feel he might be aggrieved enough at his stoke exit he will motivate the players.
  19. 1 - the number of relegation's suffered by them at the club. How about the amount of clubs they relegated before they were sacked? Like to see the stats on how many of those clubs got relegated the same year they were sacked. I honestly don't understand why these managers keep being employed. Redknapp is another that should be on there.
