On form and focused he is arguably the best midfielder in the country. Certainly in his role. I would be shocked if he was even in the periphery thinking for England though. He has too much to prove in regards to discipline. Last 3 games have been fantastic though. If he kept that through to seasons end he may be a dark horse for the summer but still unlikely imo.

Two good results for us today.

Hope he gets the call. Think he is still likely going to be ignored this time. That's probably good news for us. I don't want him going anywhere. A move to a bigger club is probably inevitable on his current form though. -
Nah, it's all about emulating your idols.

Matt Wilson@mattwilson_star Incredible press conf from Pardew. Criticised his players for giving up in the last 15 minutes, laid into Krychowiak for not shaking his hand, and announced he was going to speak to the board about his position. His reaction online soon... Should stress that Pardew also said he was going to keep fighting - unlike his players. Not expecting any sort of resignation, but he knows he's on the thinnest of thin ice. Sounds like the king. Really hope they keep him as fans suggest until they are mathematically relegated and they can fuck him off on the cheap.

Newcastle United 3-0 Southampton - 10/03/18 - post match euphoria from p14

Anyone read this script before? FFS. How are we so incapable of finishing when we need to. -
Lack of goals is a huge worry. The next two games couldn't be bigger...well unless we don't pick up points then the next games after that will be bigger and bigger and bigger and then pointless. It's in our hands. Shelvey back in and if he plays as he did the last two games will be huge. Hopefully Slimani can make a positive difference.

Could have said that after his Southampton job. cunt always finds a way. It's the culture in football of celebrating mediocrity and re-hiring the same shit British managers because they know the game yada yada.
-
To be fair they are likely done regardless of who they bring in? Might as well save their pennies rather than pay that cretin out. Unless they have someone great to come in rebuild in the summer. When was the last time a manager walked and wasn't sacked btw? I'm sure it's happened this season just always seems they either stick it out for the pay out of being sacked or club's at jumping the gun.
-
Gutted he will believe it wasn't him what relegated the club when they go down after he is sack. Will walk away and back into a similar job somewhere else.

Nice finish

Sturridge to make a shock full recovery and score a hatrick per game. -
£300m debt?! I thought it was about £70m (which probably will have been reduced by about £15m after last summer!)?! Oh I wasn't being serious about the level of debt just matched it up to our asking price. 50m isn't a true story though given the debt they have.
-
To be fair the price isn't that far off ours. 350 for us 50 for them but they take on 300 debt.
-
Unbelievably still with a fantastic chance to stay up. However shut they are everyone else around them is just as bad.
-
Shame the couldn't score and force a needless extra game. "We was tired from the sun from training." Taxi for Pardew, Southampton stole this one.
-
Perfect. Lets hope it stays that way, with no further abducted transport.

Would be shocked if palace aren't back in the zone given their next 3 games. The following game against huddersfield would be huge followed by Liverpool. They have a better run in but they could be broken by then. West Brom potentially getting cut adrift. Stoke need some results. To be honest it's still so f***ing wide open up to 10th. Can't understate the importance of today's result though. Damn shame we have to wait two weeks to play again.
-
Who comes in to turn it around? Schteevie? Marco Silva would be a great choice as he seems to hit the ground running with teams.
-
Put in a real shift like the rest. Much better for him.
