This - exactly...my view is that Llambias may have told Pardew to get the players to rubbish the story in the DT so it takes the pressure off those two. None of this makes any difference to what has happened in the past season and smacks of ar-- covering to me. We can all be sure that most of these players would be on their bikes if we go down, and my bet is that a fair few will be off anyway. There is nothing Llambias and Pardew won't do in order to deflect any blame away from them and try to stop fans thinking about scrapping their STs...... The Independent's article, comparing our record during the years before Ashley and the years since shows just how lousy we have been during his tenure although in fairness, we could not have continued the lax and suspect financial dealings of the Shepherd regime. On the pitch we have been woeful under Ashley, off it (coaches aside) the club is in fantastic shape, so fair play to that probably little surprise as a businessman he got that in order first.. shame its come at the expense of actual football being played properly. Hopefully he pulls his finger out and finds us a set of coaches that match the scouting and financial set up he has going. We won't be holding our breath though.

That's a belter that from the Telegraph. Albeit ironic seeing as they are just corporate puppets for the powers that be anyway. I think we will see a fiery one on Saturday that for sure.. whether we can get any points is another matter. If we don't get any breaks I think things will boil over again ala debuchy.

Damn where has the blind optimism come from?
  4. Pardews appointment was very similar to souness. Out of the blue, huge dissapointment, even disgust for many supporters and doomed to failure. Both also played rancid football despite talking up their love of attacking free flowing football. I don't hate pardew as much as souness, the latter ripped the heart out of sit bobbys team and was detestable. They both talked a good game and showed some passion, pardew genuinely cares IMO..that is far from enough though. He has zero motivational skills or tactical nouse it is embarrassing.

We have had odd flashes and even a game or two but we have never looked fluid and like a team than gels going forward. Not since hughton who seemed to have cracked it.
  6. Got to take it while they can, won't hear as much when he is playing in Spain next year.
  7. Elliot Simpson Taylor Colo Perch Tiote Gutierrez Sissoko Cabaye Gouffran Cisse Much different would be a shock. Infact I would be surprised if we go as positive as Gouffran starting. Marv and Ben Arfa will get on for the last 20 mins to try and salvage a draw from 3-0 down.
  8. He clearly cares, but he has clearly been living in a comfort zone believing his own hype from last season. He simply doesn't have the tactical or motivational skills to take us where we want to go. Something 99% of people would have told you the say he was hired.
  9. Think poyet would be a possibility he has ties with cashley. He would be an upgrade on pardew but I think we could surely do a lot better. Hughes would probably also be a front runner

Exactly..a better manager would mean a better Tiote. Whether two years of his career being ruined is retrievable though we shall see. If the rest of the team was performing under a decent manager I would say bin him but I think there is still hope for him.
  11. Can't be happy about Harrys demise as a) we might go down with them, and b) if we don't it wouldn't surprise me if we scabies pardew and hired this cretin instead.
  12. Hammers are safe, we have a chance if any of our players are interested in turning up to win. Fates in our own hands but it was last time too.
  13. Supermac finally given the chance he has been waiting for...
  14. The greater part of me says bin him in the summer. But maybe under a decent manager he could improve himself. Shame we wont see either happen.
  15. He won't tip himself. They have to push him. This is the biggest job of his career and he won't get bigger. You will have to prize his fingers away. Its like Roeder and Hughton, you can tell they care about football and the club. They just aren't in anyway good enough to manage this club or the players at it, let alone knowing how to tackle and outwit managers of other clubs who are far superior.

Something like the Manager picking a negative, defensive side with no players capable of creating a chance, not motivating his players, Putting them in roles that contradict their strengths and generally sucking any creativity or life out of them. Other than that and 100 of the Pardew related gaffs, not the managers fault I agree.

Exactly. How is it a surprise we have looked like this all season? Arguably we looked the same last year just with a s*** ton of luck. Can the thread title not be changed to something that shows anyone looking at the message board that most fans want him out. I'd hate anyone from the club to see the truth in that we are just to beaten down to care about putting anything next to his name, or worse still show that we don't think he is a problem.

    Loïc Remy

Ah and we hoped we would be the ones scoring to relegate Q.P.R. when it is no more than likely the other way around.
  19. We have been staring it down since bloody November.. a bad run is expected but this is far from acceptable and should have been dealt with already this season. It might well cost us again and I don't know how much more fans can take.
  20. Depressed like much of the other with being told to play against their strengths out of position and against their natural instincts to enjoy playing free flowing football. The whole coaching set up needs shooting. Yes men all round and gutless.. no surprise it is rubbing off on our players at least half of which could be playing for most clubs in the league.
  21. http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article1402811.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/Alan+Shearer+on+holiday+in+Barbados Oh yeah.. decent. No we are fucked. No one will take us on with 3 games left. Why the hell would you. They have to hope Pardew can scrape us through then replace. We knew when he was appointed, we knew before christmas, we knew feeling scared in January. Now the gamble has backfired and we are really in the shit. Diced rolled second relegation staring us in the face. Can't see us coming straight back up this time either.

Well we shall know better this time next week.

Really? Based on what? Wigan and Villa being nearly as woeful as us and us having more points. Stoke are nosediving too.

So I can see us limping through to stay in the premiership.. I can see us firing Pardew.. then I can see us hiring Harry Redknapp. I would be so woefully unhappy at that happening, but right now I would consider it. Just for the record to add to what everyone else already knows.. could not fathom his starting line up today but anything negative is a magnet to Pardew.
