  1. Sissoko's first touch has always been dreadful, genuinely baffled at how anyone who's watched a large chunk of our games can debate this.
  2. Semi-related; I traveled to West Brom without a ticket for the New Years game Debuchy ruined. Wouldn't recommend doing it (long story, but had little choice) but I bought an away ticket at West Broms box office without any hassle or Q's about membership. Was confused af at the time, buzzing until I actually got into the stadium and watched 70 minutes of nothing. (+30 minutes queuing for food)

  4. Toulouse is a great city as well isn't it? Was only there for 18hours but really felt like a nice town to be in. Toulouse was also really nice yup, some cracking places to eat/drink too -- Bordeaux had a better overall atmosphere but think the occasion (Wales first game) played more of a part in that
  5. Why isn't there any decent beer in France? Anything darker than a lager tasted like dishwater. Otherwise had an amazing 12 day out there - French were largely class, only really experienced the Parisian wrath before this. No trouble - everyone in good spirits. Bordeaux the highlight - amazing place. Watching Super Furry Animals & Dropkick Murphys for 8 euros in a Celtic Festival in Toulouse a non football highlight. Take me back

Welcome to the board mate. Finally. Love that we both thought of the same person as soon as this news came out. Small world!

  9. Bought Wales vs Slovakia tickets yesterday, happy with that. Bilbao > Bordeaux (vs Slovakia) > Biaritz > Toulouse (vs Russia, watch in fanzone) > Home . Can't wait - just got to get Bale through the Champions League and final La Liga push unscathed.
  10. You can set up alerts if you haven't already. Nice one - yeah I did wonder if that was a feature - all set up, still don't fancy my chances.
  11. Addicted to refreshing the Euro ticket portal. Seems to be a fair few England tickets popping up, but they go quick. I'm on the hunt for Wales tickets if anyone happens to know anyone selling, unlikely. Suprised Northern Ireland vs Ukraine has had multiple spares on the portal last few days, but then I saw the capacity of Lyons stadium is close to 60,000 so makes sense.
  12. Has anybody who applied through the non team specific portal had any news? I know team specific tickets have been allocated over the last few days..
  13. I remember having money on him to score anytime in this game. Torn between elation and frustration. Was almost as bad as when I had money on us to win 4-0 at Southampton in the cup at (3-0 Dyers 'royal royce' performance.. Lua Lua denied last min pen)
  14. Really? Nothing for this? Come on, people! scandalous innit I had to look up what the word actually meant so took the edge of it .. Anybody have the livescore app? I'm all for by the minute match commentary, but it's been pretty vague today. My favourite passage during the earlier game. http://i57.tinypic.com/14sgvp2.png
  15. http://www.skysports.com/footballleague/championship/video/9988530/cardiff-2-0-huddersfield World class assists. (00:50, 1:00)
  16. Strange. Where were you sat? Would have said the opposite, was subdued at times but mostly bouncing (Canton) .. There was a 10 minute long song dedicated to Hal Robson Kanu to the tune of Push It by Salt n Pepa ffs, obscene scenes. Easy to get caught up in the buzz at that end though, haven't sat anywhere else so can't really comment on the overall atmos. Ashley Williams has been immense this campaign, Bale has got the crucial goals, but our defence has been huge. The main sign of this for me is that no-matter who gets brought into midfield, no matter what club level they are playing (and it's been chopped and changed throughout) - they seem to play with confidence and Ashley is a massive factor in this (credit to rest of the defence too) but he's pulled the strings. In the past once teams broke through our midfield we would be pretty vulnerable, now the midfield are playing those slightly more ambitious balls forward knowing if they give it away, they've got a solid unit behind them. Fingers crossed we wrap it up before Andorra and that last home game is just a massive party.
  17. Assume this is based on the TV mix. The atmosphere was brilliant (as it has been last few home games) and I didn't hear that chant once. Is that even a chant?
  18. http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/championship/9961848/cardiff-2-0-wolves Goal at 3:53 Taking the piss out of the Wolves back line 4:29
  19. Watched him play for Cardiff on Tuesday. Not much to write home about, had one long range shot saved, made a couple of decent runs. One or two times he favored a back heel over a simple pass. Strolled Ameobi pace for the rest. Will probably get to another game at some point, hopefully better opposition than Wimbledon to see how he fairs.
  20. Took up a free ticket to check out Darlow yesterday. Should have done better for both goals IMO, didn't command his box particularly well either. Still an upgrade on blob.
  21. Home kits 'half price' £27.99 from .cock now if you can stomach wearing a shirt with 'Wonga' across the front of it. http://www.nufcdirect.com/puma-newcastle-united-home-shirt-2013-2014-377323
