Agreeed, I think CL is vital - and it would probably be in our best interests to resist offers and build our squad up. Esp with the windfall of cash that accompanies the CL and progressing to the knockout stages (if we put together a fantastic run).

What is so wild to me is that, I've never bought a player on my shirt for just finance reasons ordering the kit in the US. Used to be simple, if I wanted a kit - I'd get Shearer 9 and call it a day. Now we've got such a plethora of class players i'd have no clue. Funny, I had almost got one in January - My lass was going to get me the new home-kit for my birthday with Colo 2 on the back. But then was worried that I'd be so wishy washy and she'd always ask me who I'd get if I had to chose and I'd never decide "HBA 10? Ba 19? Cisse 9? Tiote 24? Cabaye 4?" We know a couple who owns a footie shop down here so she was going to set it up and get it done - but the man who runs the shop is a total space-head, forgot to get it done, so she never did. This upcoming season I'd like a new kit - but again - no idea who to get...good problem to have?

He's a beast wor Tiote. When he's playing, he's driving us forward and can make opposition attackers shit themselves over having to deal with his ferocious style of play. He's got an inner desire that the top players have in that he gives his all. There are times when he'll turn and play a quick ball to switch play, or sometimes will try some brilliant long balls (and some bad!) but his passing is excellent at times. A player I wish and hope will stay with us forever.

To me it depends on player retention 100%. If we lose a Krul, Tiote, Ba. Then we need replacements in who are starters. So a 1st choice young keeper, a first choice destroyer, and a first choice striker/winger on the left. Who those are, no idea - crazy is now, I trust we will get replacements in thanks to Carr and co. But having prefaced that - if we keep our starting unit together (apart from Simmo) and with a healthy Saylor, Marveaux, Sammy et al and add players in the class of Douglas/Vort and Debuchy/Pieters to our starting 11 then we will be challenging for sure. But again - player retention is key. But the nucleus is there - its all about our spine for me. Krul - Colo - Tiote being the base for our squad. Add in Cabaye, Cisse, Ba, HBA and our attacking play is set. I'm quietly excited to see who we bring in, and absolutely scared at the summer transfer rumors of the out goings.

To add to that, I think seasons ago when he first signed with us he was def. more at home as a winger, and to me, looks like he's lost a bit of his pace and acceleration since then. But in that, I think he's actually become stronger and as the years have gone by, he's adapted his game and playing style to which it is now more suited to the position he is playing in our centre of the park next to Tiote. Brilliant work-rate, close-control, quick short passing and does all the things right on the defensive side. He's 100% needed in our starting lineup for now, and if we are to sign another player to play this role in the off-season, then so be it - but we'd be hard pressed to find someone so versatile, so good at retaining possession, soaking up pressure and winning vital freekicks all over the pitch that really helps us control and dictate matches.

Neville, Adams, Ferdinand, Cole, Cronaldo, Scholes, Keane, Giggs, Shearer, Henry I'd personally do a 4-3-3 and have Makelele playing the DCM with Scholes & Gerrard ahead of him with Shearer the middle of the 3 forwards with Henry and Ronaldo wide.

Might have to purchase a France and USA kit now.
