  1. Shocked we pulled that off. Class 2 saves by Howard to save the result. Great job to the team to FINALLY get that result in that fucking ground.
  2. Messi was clearly unable to get past Colo in training and it pissed off the manager, therefore he sat Colo. Too good for the friendly.
  3. We now have the ability to play an array of different roles in the centre of the park and dictate matches more-so now than ever. With Tiote, Anita as our two DCMs and in reserve you have Perchinho, Abeid, and Bigi. Then you have Yo and Jonas capable of playing more advanced and/or box-to-box with Gosling, Amalfitano, and hell even Marv could play more advanced. Fact is, we have options, we have cover for ACON/injuries/suspensions and the busy fixture list. I think this was an extremely important signing given the length of our season and moving forward. Hopefully it becomes official soon and we can look to getting other targets across the line.
  4. If he's all signed up by the weekend, then I'm less worried if Tiote or Cabs (hopefully not both) miss out on Saturday as we'd have this lad to play.

    Alan Pardew

Was originally just shocked at the manner in which we sacked CH. I also always felt like Ashley and DL were always prone to the random decision or fucking with whatever harmony we had. We lacked stable results - one week we'd thrash Sunderland then get turned over by Bolton and then another week partake in the most boring 0-0 draw of my life. When we hired AP, I again wanted a name with pedigree (that Jol timing was strange too) but knew that I had to back him 100% after he was officially announced. Can't say I agree with all of his decisions, but he did what he said he would do - and that is work his arse off to win our trust and support. I'm proud that he's our manager and looking forward to this season.
  6. Any place that has Fox Soccer Channel and you'll be good.

    NUFC Kits

No number shake-ups this season, good for all who own older kits or already bought numbers on the new one Anita 7/8 (if he signs) and Debuchy 12 (if he signs)
  8. It depends where in Orlando you watch. If you watch downtown, it's all locals that are Newcastle fans. If you watch over by the attractions (Disney, Universal area) then it's people on holiday catching a match at a pub, usually on I-Drive. Cuba's right. And you clearly want to watch it downtown with Cuba and myself, we've had some canny f***ing results watching these matches together....... I'll be at Legends in NYC this Saturday if anyone else visiting the city at the same time or currently lives there.
  9. Perchinho for sure. Rewatched that Chelsea(a) wonder match from last season the other night and Tiote was playing some fucking brilliant stuff that night. My favorite part of that was when he weathered 2-3 challenges in the first half by letting the ball roll-on past him around halfway line, then he slowed down, turned away from our attacking end, evaded a sliding challenge with a quick little move, and then nonchalantly sliced a pass with the outside of his foot to the on-running Cabaye past 1 or 2 Chelsea players.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I think the Jonas in the first season here has obvioulsy lost that same explosive acceleration and a step or 2 of his pace over the years which may have set him apart as a much better attacking threat than he is now.
  11. Jorts, ladies and gentelman, Yo wears Jorts.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Hopefully he sort of pulls himself together and recovers quicker than expected and can be involved on Saturday. Really would like to have our top 11 for the opener but like OpNut mentioned above, not the worst thing in the world to have Marv & Jonas out wide. Marv has had an excellent preseason and Jonas is our reliable ball-carrier, calming influence on the squad, and excellent cover/understanding with Santon on the left. Having said all that, I hope everyone is declared fit and HBA is on the pitch to terrorize the fuck out Spurs back-line

    NUFC Kits

f***ing class man. I own every home kit after grand-dad collar through this upcoming season except for the NTL blue piping with collar (year we had white socks as our main home socks or something) and the last Adidas home kit from championship season. I've bought a handful of away kits, including that ghastly old one with the brown or orange Adidas or whatever. Always been pricy shipping over to the states.
  14. Really chuffed, hopefully it's officially announced soon and the lad is available for Spurs if we need to start him. Hopefully well bring in the much needed RB (VDW or Debuchy) and a striker before September 4th and no departures from our top crop and I'll be buzzing.

    NUFC Kits

I agree 100%, would love it on our kit. But with the sports retail "genius" at the helm and his first year graphic design students as his staff, we get the official club numbers. Classy stufff.

    NUFC Kits

Couldn't disagree more. I don't think it's safe at all. These numbers have nothing PUMA on them, I don't think it's safe to say anything right now. I assume we'll see Puma letters, and that these godawful NUFC letters will never see the light of day. They exist purely as a cut price option for Mike to make more money on. I'm sure the PL take a massive cut with the official numbers. I showed my font-nazi graphic designer of a girlfriend the NUFC letters, she was offended. Mainly because I was wasting her time showing her football shirts, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Have seen what mattyp posted up I guess I am wrong. I would really HOPE we'd either use PL or Puma font for Europe as those NUFC Official Lettering crap is offensive and looks crap in my opinion. But I guess at end of day, does it really fucking matter?

    NUFC Kits

From club's official twitter regarding the numbers: NUFCOfficial: For those of you asking, there are two styles of name and number available in the Club Store-the Premier League type and #nufc's own design I think that its safe to say we will use the PL type for Europa League unless we plan on using the Puma font and won't be selling that....which could very well happen.

More like Cabaye 7 no? That was his number at Lille.
  22. 3rd. FIFA rankings are turbo s*** Must be that James Milner and Scottie Parker who really turned it up for England over the likes of Hulk and Neymar.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I love his ambition and his love affair with the club. I'm hoping he will continue to progress and be in the starting 11 come Spurs.
