Not dead yet, but definitely looking less likely. From the players own quote he is clearly undecided, and possibly we need players who know what they want. If he decided to come to England then after a few months conclude he'd made a mistake it wouldn't be much good.

Credit where it's due, he's making positive noises about us. Maybe the reason he didn't before (and I don't recall him ever saying anything positive before) was that we didn't deserve it and he actually just calls it as he sees it.

By all accounts this lads style is suited to the premiership.

I'm probably riding on a wave of optimism here but I reckon we could win, (I'll go with a 3-1). Bolton will be fired up and need little extra motivation for this meeting given the circumstances, I just think Sam will know how the script goes and, providing our lads can follow his instructions, they will nullify or counter most of what Bolton throws at us.

Just watched a clip, showed 'someone' scoring three goals, first one seemed to bounce off his body as he ran into the box, second looked like a pass that just kept going but the third was a scorcher. If he's a central defender he's certainly a ball playing one that likes to get forward. Or it might have been someone else with the same name.

There was a comment made on Radio Newcastle by Mick Martin that gave a clue as to media perceptions. He noted the Sampdoria Ultra's flag and said something about troublemakers, the commentator responded with 'the lads who like a fight'. The name Ultra's is always going to hold you back as it's associated with hooligans/violence etc., and as 1878 pointed out travelling in Europe with that name is likely to provoke way more trouble than you can handle in certain places. A name change is required to progress with freedom, initially you don't drop the Ultra's tag, having it in brackets as 'formerly' or AKA, but eventually once people know the new name you should lose the old one.
