Would be fascinating to see if he ends up having his best or worst game for us. Suspect it wouldn't be anything in between.
-
The fact there's so much competition for this title is depressing. The worst part is the arrogant style with which these morons present themselves. I wouldn't mind so much if they were thick and humble, but they seem to think they're doing the world a favour by talking.

Need to get around to trademarking "the" and making myself a billionaire.
-
I honestly believe we're (a bit) more mature now, too. We had such mad momentum at that time last season and players like Burn were still in their superman honeymoon period.
-
It's because it's under copyright isn't it? Thanks for the reminder, I'd genuinely forgotten... Detest POTM... To be fair, the real reason is so preposterous you can see why people would assume it was something else.
-
Precisely why I posted. We don't need these kind of tantrums...
-
It's worth remembering we went to Bayer Leverkusen last time out and beat them with Shola Ameobi and Lua Lua up front.
-
And fuck ourselves like West Ham? If we don't match this season next season near enough game for game, it'll end up being for nought ultimately. And then we'll have to be happy watching Klopp and Brighton in Europe instead.
-
On a separate but related note, I hope people understand our priority next season is the league again, not Europe. I see comments about how much we're gonna need to sign to be competitive there next year. And it's true. But there's only so much we're gonna be able to do, so there's probably going to be a lot of balancing acts going on in terms of tactics and morale. If it boiled down to it, I'd be happy seeing Lascelles and Krafth running out for us against Bayern on a Wednesday night if it was about keeping Trippier and Botman right for a Brentford game on the Saturday. Repeated league advancement is what will sustain the club.

Happy for him to stay on personally, every time he's played this season people have been pleasantly surprised e.g. Liverpool away. And given we might be signing so many over the summer, I think the more of the (good) old guard we keep on to maintain dressing room standards the better.

Yes, it's a fair shout, but it's also worth considering that the silence comes from the expectation of deafening music. Maybe given a few games without music, fans would learn to fill the void?
-
Sad really. But also funny. As others have said, it pays yet more tribute to Howe's handling of our club.
-
We need to be aiming for epic characters as much as anything else.
-
Suspect our players will never really fit in and thrive in an England squad as the differences between our approach and Southgate's (+ likely successors) is too great. Unless we pretty much make up half the starting eleven one day.

We need longer pages

You're not far off. Fucking crazy isn't it.
-
It's getting towards that time of the year... Player of the Season? I think he pips it, but it's nice to have so many competitors. To me, without Trippier you get no Miggy etc. etc.
-
I'm taking credit for that too It was a lonely place to say anything about him that didn't involve him being in the sea.
-
Just train in the same frame of mind they did for today and it's in the bag. Needs to be taken utterly seriously, though, no half measures.
-
One of those days that's so nice there's not really anything you can say. Not that does it justice, anyhow.

This kid has some real self esteem issues! Definitely feel he's low on confidence on the pitch right now too. He looked a little bit crushed when he missed that chance. Glad the fans in attendance stick by him. Believe it will come good eventually. Eddie seems to glow when he is asked about him which I take as a big show of faith...
-
Could be, but still makes for a crap, demoralising loan therefore.

That's fine but as a professional football club we shouldn't be shoving the rudder into the hands of a young kid. Involving him in the decision, sure, but responsibility lies with the club.
