  1. My face looked just like Gavin's when I read that.
  2. Yes. I think that's totally consistent with what we've seen of how Mort and Ashley operate. They seem to get things lined up privately and then move quickly.
  3. Given how quickly Ashley's purchase of the club went down, I wouldn't be surprised in the least with a quick appointment (with the background work already being done). Mort and Ashley don't seem to move without a plan in place.
  4. AAAARGH! Setanta Broadband just cut off coverage! Showing f*cking commercials!
  5. FWIW, I have several old kits off of E-bay and all are fine. All were also bought from individual sellers in the UK.
  6. Independent reporting that he has a hernia/groin problem that he complained about at half time, with quotes from Sam. When it looked to Sam that he was not completely fit in the 2d half, he subbed him: http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/internationals/article2973603.ece It's a ways down in the article after all the "woe is England's qualifying campaign" waffle.
  7. Two things for this overseas supporter: (1) better online coverage - I have World and Setanta Broadband, but that's not enough. I'd be in favor of moving the website away from premium.tv as well - the site does not have a very interesting/useful or distinctive layout, and, while the content seems at least more timely under Mr. Ashley, I still would like more. (2) reasonable overseas shipping charges from the Club Shop. £20 is better than the £25 it was, but that still bears no relation to reality. I'd love to order all sorts of crap from the Club Shop, but I'm not tacking an extra £20 on regardless of my order size. As is, I order what I need from other retailers, or go to E-Bay.
  8. Just reported on Setanta Broadband that Dyer broke both bones in his lower leg (left one I think they said).
  9. Dyer looks to be in a lot of pain. From the replays it's something along the lines of a broken leg, or serious knee damage. It's been 5+ minutes and he's still being helped by the medical folks - looks like they're putting on a splint or brace.
  10. Interesting. I can get the audio commentary in FF, but not any of the video. Setanta video works fine with FF.
  11. No idea really. My guess is because Microsoft is involved. Computer specifics are beyond me, I'm afraid.
  12. The problem is not streaming to a Mac, it's making sure you have a license on a Mac. IE and Windows Media Player have some synergistic relationship that determines whether you properly have a license or not. Not done yet for any Mac combo. Here I sit with subscriptions to both World and Setanta Broadband, but since it's my morning to take the kids to gymnastics class, all I've got is my MacBook, and no game. Have to watch the rebroadcast on Setanta later today.
  13. 6th. Might as well enjoy the wave of optimism while it lasts.
  14. I could picture SBR's puzzled face here. Fantastic stuff. Ditto the Roeder Rozehnal quote. Thanks.
  15. So how long does it take a container ship to sail from Newcastle to London then?
  16. Works! Needed to enter my nufc world password, but there it is.
  17. It is a one off (I think!) as a lot of those articles were due to be in the paper 'zine and then just before it was set to come out - along came Big Sam and Ashley! This. I'd put it up for download every issue if I could like, but I don't have the means and I doubt TF would take too kindly to that either. The Ed. would cut your balls off!!! I'd be happy to pay for a download edition each month. Save the paper, the postage and get it much more timely. Cheers, Dave
  18. It's a space station! Cheers, Dave
