Geremi is a bad, bad player. He's created a couple of chances, in his defence, but they have been spread across a dozen games. He's nowhere near good enough for a team that wants to be pushing for the top 7.

have to say i find this very odd, there were large sections of the game where he was the only lad in black n white able to actually pass to a team mate, i thought he was quality, again He was poor, for me. Not his worst game, but a step backwards form his last few. I can't recall seeing him make any genuinely quality passes. He just gives the ball away far too much.

Enrique isn't the greatest defender in the world either. He's not BAD, by any means, but he's better on the attack.

Harper - 7 - Did well when he had to, other than a few moments of Given-esque kicking. Beye - 7 - Good game for him, was able to get forward as he pleased. Faye - 5 - Jones had him all ends up a couple of times. Not terrible, but not good either. Taylor - 7 - Played well, with more maturity in his decisions than he somethimes shows. Enrique - 7 - Distribution not great, but better than his last game. Not a brilliant defender, but offers more going forward. Geremi - 4 - Not a very good player, not a very good performance. We HAVE to get someone to take corners etc. Butt - 7 - Almost a man of the match performance. Good job he was there, though, because...... Barton - 4 - Yet another poor game from White Trash. Displayed fuck all vision, and almost zer creativity. Martins - 6 - I don't think he's greedy as such, i just don't think he reads the game too well, and can't see the right pass. Caused them some problems, though. Viduka - 4 - Showed occasional glimpses of adequacy, in an otherwise static, lazy performance. Owen - 8 - MOTM. Good reading of the game, and drew others into the play well. WIsh he had a better player in front of him. Keegan - 8 - Didn't bring Smith on, which is a bonus. Overall: I knwo I'm biased, but they were SHITE. Jones might not be a bad player, but its hard to tell when they only have one way of playing. And their midfield is comically bad. Quinn is going to have to tarmac a LOT of drives to be able to buy enough players to stop them being relegation contenders next season.

I should stay out but, I can't help myself. How many of Martins' starts was he actually playing up front? Who am I? Motty? How many has Owen been up front? Every? Wrong.

There were enough idiots on here saying he should have more time. Same as there are cockmunchers who thought Dyer was international class, or that we'd bid for Rooney, or that Shearer was NAILED ON to be manager. Souness IS a fucking cretin, yes. But many 'fans' of NUFC got what they deserved when he came.

The Zog is our best left winger, by a country mile, and one of our best players. He's one of only a handful who are good enough for the top 6/7, which HAS to be the goal for a club of our size. This not like Dyer, about whom some stupid, stupid cunts believed the total lies about Man UTd/Chelsea wanting him, and assumed he was good, or Duff, who was good 7 years ago. Thi sfella has genuine talent, the only problem is that a succession of NUFC managers have bene too fucking stupid to use it properly. If we lose him, it'll be because he has more talent than an average sized club like us can hold on to when it is - rightly - close to a relegation scrap due to a succession of stupid managers and owners, and sub-standard players.

Rozenhal is not particularly any worse than Faye - just another journeyman pro. HE's just not big and balck, so cretins don't assume he's soem kind fo "beast" in defence, like they do with Faye.

Newcastle is as multicultural as London tbh. It might be as multicultural (well, it isn't is, it, by a fucking long shot, but that isn't the point), but its also nowhere near as interesting. Two points: 1) If London wasn't interesting enough for him,. NEwcastle won't be. LEts not get the pathetic provincial blinkers on about that. 2) Why the fuck woudl he want to come here? Harper - 6 - Far, far better kicking than Given manages Beye - 5 - Not his best game for us Faye - 5 - Gets caught out a lot. Not a particularly good player, but no Bramble, obviously. Taylor - 6 - Not great, but yet again better than Faye (although i know its soem kind of hideous crime to acknowledge that) Enrique - 7 - Best game for us so far? I think so. Needs to learn WHERE to run, but he's willing to try. Owen - 8 - Very surprised by how well he slotes into the role he was given. Everything good seemed to coem through him. I expect us to win this, and look like a pretty poor side playing an utterly awful one. Then stop. Personally, I've never been more eager to get to games and try to lift the spirits of the players and fellow supporters. And I've never been less keen on giving the club shit on radio, SSN or forums, especially when they're so keen for us to do it. I'm not sure I even like one of our players - I don't mind Beye or Faye, actually - but like HF said, it's the shirt you're supporting.
