  1. i still think we will get battered, but there still lingers a g,immer of hope that Carroll gets a couple and we ride it out for the victory.... Come on!!! Hate the mancs aswell, specially Taggart!
  2. If coloccini and williamson are on song I reckon we can hold them, if Jonas Enrique Carroll and Routledge are all on song I reckon we WILL TEAR THEM A NEW A-HOLE WHILST BUMMING THEM IN THE FACE...... COME ON!!!! hAVE IT!!!! AARRRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!
  3. ROONEY HAS HAMSTRING INJURY....DOUBT FOR TOMORROW'S GAME! (sUNDAY MIRROR)
  4. Just watched fulham bolton, what a pile of craaap!! Only bobby zamora and pantsil were the stand out players... We could do much better than this lot (full of enthuisiasm before manu), get that arfa in and we're much better than the botttom of the prem. Bolton were awful, completely toothless upfront, don't know how davies was kepton the pitch, awful!
  5. I reckon we will have to see the prem team tomorrow, should go something like this (my changes in brackets): ---------------Harper (Krul)---------------- Perch----Willy----Colo---------Enrique Routledge---Barton---Guthrie---Jonas ------------Nolan---------------- ----------------Carroll---------------
  6. Clutching at straws TBH, if he doesn't perform the other we have in central midfield are completely crap...
  7. My major issues after this game are: Our right backs will get "bummed in the face" this year. Perch was awful and looks extremely lightweight. We need barton, jonas and routledge fit ASAP, our midfield (Nolan Apart) was woeful. Guthrie should be imposing himslef more by now but still looks like a headless chicken. Somebody please shoot Shola, put us out of our misery.... Krul for NÂș1 please, Harper was very slow to react to both goals I thought, badly positioned aswell for free kick. On a positive note; Andy Carrol (what was seen of him and maybe Best), Nolan, Coloccini and Enrique all had very good games!!
  8. Harper was poor for both of PSV's goals yesterday, the first from a free kick was at perfect height to be saved and it wasn't shaving the post or anything.... The second was pretty low to the ground and it looked like he took so long to get down to it. Krul just oozes confidence, the thing is, his kicking can be no worse than Harpers...
  9. 1st game though... Did he do better against Norwich?
  10. Wher has he been playing in his games for Manu?
  11. Intelligent attacking midfielder with good feet. OK, does he have pace? does he dribble? Passing ability on par with?
  12. What typeof striker is cleverly? No9 back to goal, in between lines guile berkamp type or out and out pace boy... Tell me some more pls...
  13. I think Nolan will play a leading role for us next season, I hope the rumours that he is a stone or so lighter are true as he was carrying too much extra last season. I really would like to see him at 100%, I like him and think he will be the second striker behind carrol. Back to the thread, I would also go for Cambell Coloccini pairing at the back, loads of high level experience and hopefully this past year in the championship has smoothed Colo's intro to english football, still has me on the edge of my seat a couple of times a game but is getting better. Cambell also is the more agressive leading defender which I think <Colo will take to well... Another couple I think will push on are Barton (can't get any worse I suppose) and Guthrie (ver consistent end of last), I think will Nolan or whoever giving them a hand in midfield it will help them develop as a pairing, I just hope that Hughton isn't stupid enough to stick barton out wide as it would be a grave injustice to our wide boys.
  14. Will take a lot of convincing to get me to like xisco, he was crap last year in spain and I didn't like his attitude his first stay with us. I hope he proves me wrong, hopefully I will see him this weekend at SJP, been a while since I've been back (Reading - Pancrate goal was last live game!!!).
  15. Lovenkrands has to be considered as our third or fourth striker. It is healthy to seeus being linked with possible strikers such as Ben arfa who play in the hole behind the out and out strikers. We will deffo be playing a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 next season to contain better midfields than we did last year. I personally don't think Ben Arfa is a good buy, he is apparently very lightweight and doesn't work very hard... I think Nolan with some weight off would be the perfect fold for carrol as he arrives for second phase and he works well defensively, we could see a revelation this year...fingers crossed!
  16. Huntelaar was a pile of sh***te when in Spain, the same has been said of him at Milan. Would cost us too much and would want astronomical wages, would rather have somebody like Zamora...

    James Perch

I am happy that we have signed him, he was one of the players many would have been happy to sign after our two games against forest... He is capable, let's see if he's consistent, age is right also... I am happy that we have spent some money, goes to show that it was barra'boy negotiating tactics from ashley, tell the world we're spending nothing and plead poverty to get some bargains..Well done!
  18. It would take the players very little to adapt to a 4-2-3-1 formation as they were playing virtually that formation all last season. Nolan was the attacking part of central midfield with one other midfielder pushing up, the wingers were our main points of attack with Carrol being our target. I would rather go for this formation and for Taylor to push up on the wing like enrique does whilst attacking: -----------------Krul------------------ Taylor---Willi-----Colo-----Enrique ------Barton------Guthrie-------- Routledge----Nolan-----Jonas -------------Carrol--------
  19. Sorry, badly written, doesn't hate "all" the LFC fans just the scumbags who nearly always turn up to foreign aways...
  20. My best mate is a Liverpool fan and he also experienced the thousands of fans rushing, stealing, being totaL aHOLES FOR THE CL FINAL. Said he hates his own fans (especially in Europe) and says it is nearly worse than the England away games... Makes me shudder.
  21. Sidney gvou on a free transfer this summer... Couln't we go for him? I know he doesn't fit the 5 year player type plan but...
  22. They are on a decent run and won't be a pushover. I would go for consolidation and a home win: ---------------Harps------------------------ Simps.----Willi-----Colo------Henry Routs----Guffas---Jailbird---Jonesy ---------Lovensy---Caroll
  23. Used to read the Guardian a long time ago, but like someone above said it's all ideological nonsense with articles always backed up by "anonymous" sources so that the lefty journo's can get away with any unsubstantiated shi**! Read Times now and seems to be quite balanced, also has Cualkin who is great
