We need to see what sort of defensive shifts Isak puts in before we can visualise a ASM----Calum----Isak front line. Knowing maxi only does half shift at best, we would need Miggy levels of ceover from Isak if we were to play that front three. Would be a friggin blast though seeing the thre of them... with Big Joe, Bruno and Billy boy threading them the assists -------------------------Pope---------------------------- Tripps------Schar------------Botman----------Target -----Elliot---------Bruno---------Big Joe-------- Isak----------Calum---------Maxi

Our system is made for overlapping full backs, well at least on the right hand side (Tripps). This means we are not playing an out and out "winger" on the right but an "inside right" forward. Miggy currently plays this role well and Isak could easily play this role, or even Calum as they are both right footed. The question for Eddie is who of the two of them goes right?

Any updates on injuries, or training photos? Bruno would make a huge difference, maxi too...

What would the "nearly perfect" points total be around? i.e. getting all results right, but a few goals wrong here or there... Just to put the wekly scores into context...

Everton 1-2 Liverpool Brentford 0-1 Leeds Chelsea 2-0 West Ham Newcastle 2-1 Palace Forest 2-0 Bournemouth Spurs 2-1 Fulham Wolves 1-1 Southampton Villa 1-3 Man City (Double) Brighton 2-0 Leicester Man Utd 0-1 Arsenal

His major downfall is that he is too slow on the ball and gets caught in possession a lot. He played well last night as we were mainly defending and pressing tbf. Good pass for the goal. Reality is that we drop down a notch when he is on the field...

Thought it was a good decision by eddie to include him as he is a lot faster than Schar and the extra height at corners was a huge help. He played better than he has in the past which is a great sign, well impressed!

another jamal lewis by the looks?

Aye, they weren´t shit, but I still thought all the joy Liverpool got was down that flank.

Pull/Hat/Asworth/Rabbit PLEASE

I thought him and Target really struggled against their attacks down that side. Mind he is a top class player!

Would prefer "Billy" to Longshaft: Pope Trippier Schär Botman Targett Elliot Guimarães Joelinton Almirón Isak Fraser
-
Yep, good luck to him! Honest pro...

No worries, tielemans will slot in to cover for him

Really impressed with his performance last night. Ran out of steam in the second half but the first half was real class. When maxi and calum are both fit again we are going to have some front line. Just wonder how eddie is going to facilitate the three of them as you couldn´t really bench any of them (allright he´s only had one game, but fukc me it was good!)

Jacob plus 20M for Joao???

Aye, a defensive midfielder would be a great signing. free up big joe and bruno a bit. Would relegate willock, but think that he has never really recaptured his nine game form from a couple of seasons ago...

He does actually press and cover passing lines quite well... credit where it is due

After a night´s sleep, one thing that really sticks out in my mind was the fact that our substitutions had zero impact, made us worse, and the players were completely exhausted from about 70 mins. I thought Eddie might have brought on schar as a defensive pivot or even Botman to go with a back five as the last twenty was backs to the wall. I often think that managers sometime stick to their "principles" rather than being pragmatic and making the changes that the game needs... P.S. still love Eddie, but just something that occurred to me with retrospect.

We need some competition on both wings and centre midfield. need to push to get one or two loans/signings to make a difference, even if only to improve the bench!
-
Couple of times all he needed to do was leg it out wide and hold until players caught up… wrong decision every time and dispossessed easily

God, I detest the scouse teams!
