    Rolando Aarons

This season should tell us whether he really is a perma-hamstrung footballer or whether we have a real winger on our hands. Good to see he is training hard to get some form, also nice that we have a manager who has more than a simple amoeba for a brain when tasked with decisions over fitness!
  3. I don't think we need a DM, we have Tiote and Abeid who cover those roles well, would much rather a creative midfielder to sit alongside one of those and to push colback/anita out the team...

    The Coaching Staff

Yep, he's a good player but he really gets on the tip of my red end with his ongoing comments to the press about how he's dreaming to go play for a champs leaguye team ...etc...etc..etc
  5. he had a run of about six games where he was really impressive, then he had a few appearances where lame pressing and bad positional play led to some goals. Glass half full, I would certainly give him a go under a new coaching set up, if he plays as well as we know he can he is a definite upgrade on colback and anita...

    The Coaching Staff

It would be a boost to see someone like Zenden, an up and coming coach with new ideas, motivation and a name to attarct players we talk with... Steve Black would also be a great signing, we have had lots of injury crises for years and never have got an effective remedy to it, add to that his known status as a physcological motivator and we have a coaching team that resembles something of a premier league team. I think these two would make almost as much difference as any new signings. P.S. My view on Sissoko is get rid for a decent price! Sick of his subtle messages to the media and he really is a one trick pony .i.e. ability to run well into space and to barge throughtoward goal
  7. We desperately need two strikers and two centre backs, a creative but feisty midfielder and cover for janmaat. With this and no sales of our decent players I would be well satisfied. We need to sell Gouffran, Obertan, Willo, Riviere, fat goalkeeper and possibly one of Anita or Abeid (I would shift anita) My team, with reserve players in brackets, would be: ---------------------------Krul (Darlow)----------------------- Janmaat (New)---Van Djik (lascelles)----Dummet (Colo)-----Haidara --------------------Sissoko------------New MD (Colback)------- Perez-----------------------De Jong-----------------Berainho (New) -----------------------Austin (Cisse)------------------------
  8. I don't think Charnley could take the gamble on Viera, it was 50/50 at best, meaning if he failed Charnley, after gaining promotion from shoe cleaner to MD, would be out on his ar*e. The mediocre no risks involoved appointment, which ties in with Ashley's let's not dabble with relegation and stay mid table and earn the cash mantra, is to be expected i.e. Fans get an upgrade on carver, Charnley keeps his job safe, club will tick over with a yes man at helm, it may even turn out to be McClaren's saving grace and he reestablishes NUFC as a top eight club...
  9. WOW! Didn't know ISIL had a geordie PR guy in their ranks! He really is full of ****
  10. I reckon any of us on here could do well for ourselves with 2 million a year (minimum) salaries... If that failed to attract them you could go out and pay for it to your hearts content Back on the Jonas topic, his only position should be a back up one for left back or centre midfield at moment. great bloke but lost his legs a couple fo years back.
  11. After reading a comment or two about certain players being very likeable for one or more facets of their game, personality or whatever, thought I would start a thread where we can give our reasons for liking, disliking or just plain not bothered about some of our squad. My main ones would be as follows: LIKEABLE Ayoze - Love the commitment, battling defenders twice his size and he never gives up, add to that his comments interviews and he sounds like a real nice lad. To add the cream to the cake he has those "moments" where he dazzles with his ingenuity! Jonas - Always liked him, even when it was plain to see that he had lost his legs and was no longer any use as a winger. good attitude, sound bloke and seems to be well liked by all and sundry. Janmaat - Just the fact he is a good dependable defender and we get a real high level of football from him every game. Krul - Fight with Colo ranked him in this section, shows he cares for us a lot... cap doffed! MEH.. Colback, Raylor, Dummet, sammy, cabella and rest not mentioned. Players that do nothing for me both personality wise and footballing wise. DETESTABLE (may be a bit harsh....don't likes?) Colo - Complete coward for a while now. When you think about what he could be capable of doing for us he leaves me really irritated. Also past moves to leave etc. grind with me. Iron Mike - Just his complete lack of skill required to defend capably at this level. the fact he turns like a ship and treats a pass like an electric shock means that whenever he's in the team I'll scream. Sissoko - The "come and get me" pleas in the press. Get a fu**in life you twa*. Plays when he feels like it and is never up for the fight if we are down. Add to this that we know he is capable of lifting this team to another level and he just doesn't want to on too many occasions. Carver - Lack of finesse, backing of Percy/Ashley and having a go at our own... not on! Riviere - Waste of space. Point.
  12. The fat pri** won't sell when he is making around 30M+ profit per year as well as 10-15M worth of free advertising every season
  13. Krul played well. Colo played well and wasn't nervous due to "hot potato" Mike missing from the back. Cap doffed to dummet, impressive comeback. Anita and Jonas played well tbh. Raylor and Colback were what they are: mediocre Sissoko put in a half decent shift but still not near best Cabella was decent Riviere is a waste of time Perez tried too hard and lost the ball trying to take on that extra player too many times. still love him tho'

Tottenham is our last hope, they should beat hull but under current form anything could happen. We should just go out and nail QPR, but we never do down there, we always make it more difficult for ourselves. Dummet makes a huge difference to our defence, you can palpably note the lack of panic once williamson is removed... How the hell were some idiots on here asking for him for an England call up...
  15. What's the point of even turning up for this game? why don't we just put out a team of kids and save any sort of resource we have left for the QPR game

Here's my take on it: Nufc slight chance against QPR Sunlan might beat/draw against Leicester/everton Leicester will beat QPR and draw/beat sunlan Hull will beat Burnley Our only chance is if Sunlan fail to get a win. Mackems or us, would be the final nail in the coffin....
  17. If you were his agent and the clubs/managers he previously worked for were top tier, then you would look at a minimum "second tier" club to start his management career i.e. lower european places... He gets rave reviews about his coaching skills and man management, just can't imagine him "lowering the bar" to a club that has no aspiration other than above 18th place in the league...

    La Liga 14/15

That is laughable when you compare it to the other leagues. I am all for having iconic teams which help with league marketing and attract new football followers but I am totally against unfair advantage over other teams. In my utopian world each club would get the same TV revenues, would be obliged to use at least half of the squad from locally produced players and would be restricted to the other half of the squad being made up of half national and other half imported players. By doing this we would have clubs we could connect to and would seem much more representative of the leagues they came from. Oh well...
  19. There is no way Paul Clement will be coming to us, this guy has the background and CV to go to a much more ambitious club, actually any club would be better than us using that criteria.... aaaaaarrrrrggggggg!

    La Liga 14/15

Do you know what the distribution ratios are currently for the TV revenues? Mine is only hearsay (crappy tabloid sports press) but it would be interesting to know if it resembles reality...
  21. yes, if it gets rid of the current owner and/or forces him to rethink his model and go for a "winning club" instead of a "water treading" club

    La Liga 14/15

I thought the Strike was because the rest of the clubs in La Liga (apart from madrid & barca) are sick to death of the fact that those two clubs take 70% of the television revenue whilst the other 20 battle it out for the crumbs. That is one of the reasons La Liga will always be a two club league. Really would love to see some sort of approach mimicking the american basketball format, sick to death of inequality and the same old same old always winning things... Kind of mimicks the current political situation; two big parties creaming everything off for themselves and their cronies until their is a "revolution" and the smaller more socialist leaning parties oust them...

My own thinking is for us to go down just to return some of the spite to that fat fu** who owns us. If we are going to be served this shi* week in week out then hopefully he won't get anything out of it either.
  24. This Loyalty can manifest itself in more ways than just turning up to a game - because you can. Besides, since when was loyalty a prerequisite for supporting a football club? I support Newcastle because its always been my team, I was raised there & it feels part of me. I therefore reserve the right to fall out with it, love it, hate it & turn up to or boycott as many games as I see fit because, like a religion, there are times when your faith is severely tested & times when it can be uplifting. A more fitting analogy would be that, having married a stunner in your early years, she turns out to be a fat useless boiler that your stuck with for life. Last sentence... class! Sums up my NUFC love... at newcastle college in late eighties, keegan promotes us, wonder years, decline sets in and is cemented by a fat pri** sucking the soul out of it. A real fat mingin pig boiler tbf...
