  1. Not pressing your opponents or showing any desire to play "front foot, fret-laden" football might not equal a defensive tactic, but does equal a distinct lack of opportunism, and a defeatist mentality. A young coach should not stand for that, if he had more of a say. I would at least be in Steve's ear about what's not working, and not picking the right players.
  2. All these stories of Diouf are actually making me think he has a fabricated, Sacha Baron Cohen-esque public character that he consistently pulls off quite well. And ends up being hugely entertaining.
  3. Shit, forgot about Abeid. Oh man, to have him in there right now instead of Jogita. This club is fucking ridiculous.

If true answer is simple really. He never plays for us again. Sell the cunt in January for whatever we can get for him, till then he rots. Same with Tiote if he is pulling the same shit. Make a stand against this kind if crap. It may cost us a couple of million, but so fuck. If that's true, he should never have started on Monday, let alone finish 90 minutes. Perez must be wondering what the fuck he has to do to get a game.
  5. I think suggestions of playing only Tiote as a DM and the rest as CMs is probably the best way we can go back to basics as a team and we should start seeing results.
  6. With what has transpired so far, especially on Monday, I wonder what Cathro makes of all this. Defensive tactics, afraid to attack, scared to play Perez, De Jong, Aarons, etc. Surely as a well-regarded, young, up and coming coach who honed his skills in Valencia at the top level in Spain, he would have a different approach? Question is, how much is he listened to, or how long until Steve is moved upstairs and we finally have an exciting young manager in charge, if and when they choose to give him the reins?
  7. What is it with this club constantly hiring managers who shaft our most creative, exciting and talented players? This is what one gets when you keep hiring dinosaurs from the scrapheap of lower divisions, still trying to justify their relevancy and not believing the chance they've been given by Ashley and his cronies. This kid should've started every single game this season, we might have had more fucking points on the board. Or at least would've been 1 player who was actually a joy to watch as everyone around him sloshed about the fucking ground.
  8. The fact that he wasn't taken off yesterday even after being on a yellow card and, as usual, utterly dogshit, doesn't look good for McLaren. Yesterday was Pardewesque on so many levels.

    The Defoe bit killlllled me.
  11. His Scottish half-brother, so fucking what?
  12. And? Hatem has crazy talent (obviously) but is an idiot. Said he speaks French like a foreigner (but that's not unusual for footballers). He has the talent of a Benzema and should at least have had teh career of Nasri. Said he's started off on fire for Nice and there's talk he should be in the NT but it's a extreme long shot due to the coach. Said he had too much natural talent to be at NUFC or any of his following clubs anyway and you can't compare him to Cabella or Thauvin. Talent wise, they're not in his bracket. Said Thauvin is similar but not nearly as naturally talented. Has similar behavioural difficulties. A hard worker which English fans like but similar profile to Cabella. Thinks Cabella's problems were more mental here than physical. Said personality wise Cabella is a top lad. Easy to work with. Not as nearly talented as Hatem. Suits Ligue 1 better. Cabaye - didn't fit the PSG system. Was always shooting from ridiculous angles instead of juts passing. Nowhere near catching Matuidi, Verratti & Motta. I said in England that's the Stevie G AM type of player we love and CP/NUFC he was the best player - the manager loves him - and he can do whatever he likes. He said that might be why it didn't work out fro Cabella, he has the whole team to on his page and he would be on fire. I read that as "bit of magic" isn't Cabella's game like it is Cabaye or HBA where they can change a game out of the blue. Finally, said Cabella's last season at Montpellier was phenomenal and better than anything Thauvin had produced. Also spoke at length about my polar opposite feelings of the Ayew brothers. Apparently Payet is a top player too. So he summed up what everybody already knew. Sounds like he wasted your day. The only thing remarkable there is that you put "apparently Payet is a top player". If you didn't already know that from his stints at St Etienne, Lille and OM, then you clearly don't watch much football. You are correct. I have never watched a Ligue 1 game in my life. I don't think many people on this board have either. My first time seeing Thauvin play ever was against Man Utd. We went to Notting Hill carnival and had a blast btw.

Not unless he could get him for £45m.
  14. I'd have taken Lescott to partner Mbemba, actually. Not a huge step up from Colo but a step up nonetheless.
  15. Love him, glad he found a decent club in a proper footballing country (and not Qatar or some shit). Best of luck!
  16. The issue is also Spurs: why the fuck should we sell to Spurs?! It would be understandable if it was a top 4 team, but these cunts aren't even that good.
  17. My mates who support Liverpool and Arsenal absolutely love him.
  18. How can we do this? How? He was pretty much our best player last year and he's not even close to fulfilling his potential, and we're ready to f***ing listen to offers from a Premier League rival?! If we're actually even entertaining the idea of selling this kid, I'd have lost a lot of respect for McLaren, who will be shown to have been just another f***ing yes-man like Pardew, or worse, someone who doesn't recognize how much of a talent Ayoze is. Doubt he has a say. If he has any self respect and this happens he should resign immediately. Yep. Bang on.

  20. The blood just drained from my face, and not in the usual direction. This is fuckery of the highest order, if this is real.
  21. A tiny club that shouldn't be in the Premier League; yeah, I think you're right. Bit of a stupid comment, this. None of us like Pardew but don't lower yourself to that. Relax, man. It was tongue-in-cheek. I've lived amongst Palace fans in South London. They're a pack of cunts.
  22. My Arsenal supporting buddy was messaging me with updates while the game was going on (I couldn't watch due to work), and here are some of his messages (I paraphrase): "NUFC playing like Stoke. Long balls and kicking us all over the park." "Red card! About time!" "6 yellows, disgusting performance by NUFC." Etc... I'm glad it wasn't anything like that, and I can't wait to watch the game.
