Some of the moves ManU were putting together there (assume you're watching MOTD too) were outstanding. Much better to watch than anything Arsenal have to offer....

    Tevez's was wonderful. Brilliant football.
  3. I think he's played as part of a forward three with Rooney and Tevez this year. Their movement and ability to interchange has been both breathtaking and beautiful at times.

    Ronaldo vs Henry

Just about Henry. I loved watching him for several years.
  5. Zidane's been the best I've seen. Just didn't watch enough of Ronnie in his prime sadly, due to a lack of exposure to foreign football when he was at his absolute peak. Ronaldo II (Ronaldo Harder) is probably the best player in the world based on this season.

Yeah, they should have stuck around like the Villa fans did when they were beating us 4-1. Oh, wait.

Ronaldo was magical against Roma, I'm aware he hasn't done it regularly in Europe though. Has Messi?

Send Wes Brown up front. It's all well and good Ronaldo scoring, but everyone has him.

Bolton are a dead team walking imo.
  10. The main reason I'd look to keep him is that if we were to sell him, we'd have to spend a fair wedge more than we'd receive to adequately replace him in terms of quality.
  11. I think we will do a lot of business outside the UK our scouting setup looks like it is geared towards atm. I would like to see Keegan get out watching lower league football because he has a good eye for a player. "Very few of the players we’re looking at at the moment with regards to the future won’t be being looked at by other clubs as well." That either suggests he's talking about young lads or players who are not that well known and are not playing in the more well known leagues. I think you've missed the second negative there. He's saying that most people we go for will not only be wanted by us.
  12. Well put. Couldn't have put it better and more succinctly meself..... must have missed this post from BlueStar, but agree Phil K, very well said. On this basis should we sign anyone going for less that £6m who's better than Smith? He's a goodish player, certainly wouldn't be a particularly ambitious or exciting signing.
  13. I'd be looking to keep him. I wouldn't want to up his pay, but if we could extend his current deal by two years that would be a reasonable bit of business. We need to overturn enough of the squad as it is and Owen is one of the better players we have.
  14. Bellamy was absolutely brilliant for Blackburn, without a doubt the driving force behind getting them a 5th place finish that season.
  15. Don't think his head is sorted with all the court stuff going on.
  16. I think the constant changing of the back four by Allardyce is more a sign of "tactical ineptness" to be honest ie trying to be clever. Anybody will tell you - or should know - that a settled back 4 who develop an understanding is the most valuable thing. Can't stand these "football tinkerers" to be honest. Another example of how he lost the plot and its not what he seemed to do at Bolton, which is strange when you consider that he is the man who brought in Rozenhal and Cacapa, who can both be shown the door in the summer for me. On the other hand. He brought in Beye and Faye, so he did something right. Man for man, I like the current back 4. With Edgar standing by, its not a priority. I agree. Man for man, this is one of the better back fours we have for a good few years, and yet we have still, throughout the season, conceded bucketloads of goals. Just shows how much we're failing to function as a team.
  17. Dear NE5, read this article, and then read the comments: http://www.newcastle-online.com/2007/07/02/buying-from-our-premiership-rivals-2007-blackburn-rovers/ why do you think I'm bothered about the opinion of a handful of Blackburn fans ? I've been to Blackburn twice in the 80's and there was more NUFC fans than they were. They boo their ex player who won the title for them almost single handed, idiots that they are. Without Jack Walkers money they would be nothing, because they are a small club, albeit with a good manager at the moment who will move on when the right offer comes Did Blackburn fans really boo Shearer?
  18. Bentley would be a fantastic signing. My rovers supporting housemate is adamant he wouldn't come, but I think it would be worth a try. Looks a class act.
  19. They got £2m for Stokes as well.
  20. We'll shite Spurs Maybe so, but that won't have done us any good by Saturday night. Getcha Why do you assume the Mackems will beat West Ham, when Everton and Blackburn couldn't? I don't actually, think Wham will beat them. Just being pedantic.
  21. Probably all the shit performances

  23. Did you really want Bellamy before we signed him? I knew Bobby had wanted him for a while, but I thought he'd be shocking after his performances at Coventry. I was delighted to be wrong with that one
