at the title change Do my thread PROPERLY!

7st.

Nor did they have a history of success with the formation.

My tenner in betfair has finally got to the £50 mark, took about 6 months and a couple of good results on 20twenty finals day to get it there though! Popped into the bookies after work, settled on ManU, Charlton, Forest, Lyon, Bayern, AC and Barcelona to win their respective leagues (806/1) and Citeh to win the handicap +39 at 15/1

I agree with the pace issue. One to be used when defending a lead/holding for a draw rather than looking for anything.
-
Solid signing for Everton. I presume this means they'll be playing Yobo and Lescott together at CB now, with Jagielka at RB that's a very solid looking back 4. Still question marks over Howard for me though.
-
Have Charlton signed a replacement for Bent yet? Have they even spent any of the money they got for him?
-
They let such an important player go because he refused to sign a new contract.
-
I read he tendered his resignation (which was refused) after they lost to Arsenal, as he thought he'd taken them as far as he could, and would never breach the top 4.
-
Might have a look at City in the handicap actually, what sort of odds and points handicap have they got? Can't get on any betting sites at work.
-
Voted Hutchings. Southgate is pretty poor but I can't see Gibson wielding the axe unless it goes horribly, horribly wrong this season.
-
Going to go into town after work today and put a couple on. Thinking of going with: Prem: ManU Championship: Charlton League 1: Notts Forest Ligue One: Lyon Bundesliga: Bayern Munich Eredivsie: Ajax La Liga: Barca Superliga: Porto Serie A: AC Milan Scottish Premier: Celtic betting: it's free money!

Will that be at the same time you bump your thread stating that Zog is off to Fulham because the BBC 'understand' it is happening? I voted Diego fwiw, stunning player.

Great post brummie, totally agree, they should be in the Championship now and the sickest scummiest fans in the country. Pretty sure they're the only set of fans I've ever heard singing about a brain tumor. Brainless cunts. Pun forgiven Mowen!

Whats happening to him is NOTHING compared to Albert (un)Luque Anyway, f*** him, we got enough strikers to cover for him and more. yeah, f*** him, he's only the best player we've got Correction: he's the best NAME we got, we haven't seen him enough on the pitch to determine if he can actually play and do something for NUFC. Correction? Name a better player we've got. There isn't one. How do you know that? What do you even mean? I've stated that Owen is our best player and you're challenging it without even naming someone you think is better?

I'm surprised that any fan of football could be happy about this. Big club with a great tradition, and they should be in the prem. Could have happened to many clubs so far, and could easily happen to a couple more in the future. Be careful what you laugh at. -
We'll have to get t'Dave to write us translations.

Better than an SPL team? Really?

if we had equal budgets in both windows, you might be right as we didn't, that's hardly a 'vast improvement' given what could have been I take it that means you're underwhelmed by our signings? Who do you think we could realistically have attracted to the club this transfer window that would have made much of a difference if we'd been splashing the cash? Anything, Vicky? do you honestly think I would know who we could attract? how would that work? alternatively, if you're convinced fat sam has done his best, when you look at Man City even, fine The way you said 'given what could have been' strongly indicates you thought there were players out there who we should have got, but failed to. I think we've had a very good transfer window personally, and although it's exciting I think we've performed far more sensibly than Manchester City's scattergun approach to signing player. Only time will tell obviously, but that's my opinion for the time being.
