Happy for him, though personally I wouldn't want to start him against Wolves.
  2. Jonas is shite in the middle though. Would love to see that too ATB, no chance though I reckon.

Aye Dave, think we should also start playing some better stuff now that we have Cisse. We haven't really had a striker who's a threat to get in behind the defense, Cisse gives us that. That should force teams to play a bit deeper and give us more space to play in. He also seems very much willing to work the channels and his movement seems quality, something the likes of Shola and Best didn't really give us. Pardew has said he wants to move towards a more pass and move based game, we haven't really seen it consistently so far but he's only been here just over a year. We were built to be a long ball team when he took over tbh, you can't change that overnight. Adding players like Cabaye, Ba and Cisse seems to signal that we want to play it on the deck more, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in terms of his long term plans.

I'll be disappointed if we let him walk away for nothing. We've endured him being predominantly shite for years but he's finally showed some signs this year that he might be the player we hoped we were getting when he signed. I wouldn't want him to be first choice for us, but as a squad player we could do much, much worse. He's a great backup for Cabaye as a ball playing CM, honestly we haven't missed Cabaye all that much when he's been out. Tiote on the other hand is irreplaceable. His comments there make it sound a bit like he expects to start against Wolves though, and if he's after regular first team football in the long run then he should probably leave tbh.

Of course, somebody has to do the cooking.

Couldn't make the forever alone smiley work, eh Oldtype? Yao is always a good substitute.

Tooj's lass will be getting nowt out of Valentine's Day like, he'll have a romantic dinner in his room with a Keegan poster draped across the other seat.
  8. Ideally he should be the 4th choice CB. Can do a job now and then as emergency cover but he's going to get exposed when given an extended run in the team, a team like Spurs who play a slick passing game was always a potential nightmare matchup for him. If he's happy in a squad role then I'd look to keep him in the summer, he's not terrible.

    Good stuff, detestable club.
  10. Good work, you despicable, traitorous Swede.

That seems insane to me like, you've lived your whole life in Sweden. Can see why you'd cheer on England too but surely you're more Swedish than English? Not having a go or anything, just can't understand it.
  13. Fuck sake, few months ago I didn't mind Liverpool that much. What an absolute pack of cretins.

Good news for England, just no way I could see them winning the Euros with Capello in charge. At least Redknapp will make you tolerable to watch (I'm aware of the irony of an Irish person having a dig at anyone for playing negative football btw ) I'm assuming it's pretty much a given that he's getting the job?
  15. Been on an island with no electricity for a week. Looks like I picked a good one to miss. Glad to see that cunt Ben Arfa didn't get a game, that's some consolation at least.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Not really a great approach to just going around expecting the worst of people is it? Ben Arfa has done nothing wrong since signing for us, nothing. He came back from injury, Pardew (quite rightly, tbf) said that he needs to work harder for the team. Ben Arfa responds by doing just that, I didn't see the Blackburn game but the QPR, Fulham and Brighton games I couldn't fault his workrate at all to be honest. Yet as soon as he has a couple of unproductive games he's back on the bench. Just seems a bit harsh to me, especially when Pardew has been much more patient with other players this year.
  17. I'd agree if we had Tiote and Cabaye, but without them I can really see us getting overwhelmed by the quality Spurs have in midfield. Villa created some pretty decent chances when they did get forward, Perch did alright yesterday and Guthrie did great in patches, but neither give us a real physical presence and bite in there which we'll need as Spurs will have a lot of the ball. I'm pessimistic about this one, but agree that it's kind of a freebie.

How good is this McClean then? Honestly haven't seen him in action. What side does he play? Apparently he's declared for ROI, would be nice if someone could unseat Aiden 'I'm actually absolutely shite' McGeady from the starting line-up.

We need another CM and a better full back than Simpson to field a decent 4-3-3 IMO. I'm torn on it, I really feel weird about moving Ba after how well he's done up front. I do think it could potentially work very well though.

    Papiss Cissé

His playing style really reminds me of Jan Molby tbh.

    Leon Best

Aye, the man clearly has incriminating pictures of everyone. I'm sure if I became manager and brought him in to tell him he was surplus to requirements he'd casually just pull out some images of me doing something stupid years ago or something. He's like the guy from Sliver or something, just on a massive scale.

    Papiss Cissé

    5-8 seems reasonable.

    Alan Pardew

Yeah Pilko, explain yourself you cunt.
  24. Need to defend like fuck and hope to catch them on the break. I'd start the same eleven only with Cisse in for Best, if possible. Today's win was huge, gives us some freedom going in here.
