Depends how much we have to pay him. Presumably he's on Premier League wages? At Villa I'd guess he'd be on £30k per week at the very most. Even when you factor in wages as high as that the loan fee + wages comes to less than half of £2 million.

i think its fairly evident Harewood wont be coming back. I honestly think if we can't get Beckford then Hughton will bring Harewood back on loan.
-
I'd also be reluctant to pay £2 million+ for Beckford. Essentially your paying for 22 games. That's over £90,000 per game if the transfer fee is £2 million. If we still rate him in the summer then we can sign him for free. Until then I am more than hapy to bring Harewood in until the end of the season at a fraction of the cost of Beckford.

Some players like Duff never shone for us and it just didn't work out. However, some players should have never been sold. I know Parker frustrated some fans but he was a very decent midfielder, never going to set the world on fire but he did a very good job. Bowyer had a cracking second half of the season before he left and then was sold because he wanted to return to London. Similar situations with Jenas, Bellamy, Milner and Given. All very good players who wanted to leave for one reason or another and we simply let them walk away and have never replaced them. There is also the fact that this club has been infamous in previous for rushing players back to fitness. Carr is one player that applies too, Dyer was another. While Luque was utter rubbish you do sometimes wonder if he hadn't been rushed back from his hamstring injury in his first season what would have happened.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/8444552.stm Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford has handed in a transfer request, his agent has told BBC Radio 5 live. Beckford, 26, scored United's goal as they clinched a shock 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in round three of the FA Cup on Sunday. He has been linked with a move away from the League One leaders to Championships side Newcastle. Beckford, who joined the Elland Road outfit from non-League Wealdstone in 2006, is out of contract in the summer.

I've missed the transfer window.

Harper Simpson S.Taylor Colo Enrique R.Taylor Nolan Smith Jonas Carroll Ameobi Can't stand Guthrie on the wing. If Smith isn't fit then replace him with Guthrie.

He was fouled for the goal but he still should have done better. Even with the foul he still could have caught that if he'd really gone for it. Also his kicking was awful today.

Went for Newcastle, Cardiff and Man City. £10 returns £26.

Apparently Marlon Harewood is returning from his loan back to his parent club in January, his parent club of course being Nottingham Forest according to the article.
-
He was available for selection. Hughton obviously just decided not to select him which is completely the correct decision.
-
If there was anyway we could get Adam Johnson from 'Boro I think that would be a huge signing for us. He's just what we need, a real winger who is young and can play on either side.
-
Is Nolan actually suspended for this one? I thought there was some sort of 7-day rule regarding sending off's via a second yellow?
-
Glad it looks like we've ended our interest. He's 35 and Taylor and Colo should be first choice. Kadar has done a good job when he has come in and we can always get another defender in on loan.
-
Unless we sign a 12-15 goal a season striker, centre-back, a midfielder who can create things and a right-winger as the bare minimum, then we'll be back where we are within a season. In January? Simpson will do for me in January. Wait until the summer to do our big business.

GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Fuck! Done his knee again? Apparently so.
-
Good team. Happy with that.
-
Luque. Was absolutely awful.
-
I think it's more about finding the best partnership. Clearly our best goalscorer on what we have seen is Shola. Therefore my ideal strike pairing would be Shola + whoever works best with him.
-
Bad miss yesterday from hom. For all his good work he needs to start taking his chances.

Nicky Butt doesn't even make the bench!
