  1. How can it possibly be that a few self-centred social media posts means someone who kept our TEAM from being relegated 2 years in a row is selfish and so clearly not capable of being a team player? Nothing Maxi posted online is better evidence of his ability and character to play in a team than his performances in the team. He’s always tried his best to do his job, whether making runs from deep to progress is up the pitch under Bruce, to keeping high and left, isolating his full back and trying to pass more under Howe.
  2. Judging the value of footballers by their Instagram posts? This world is crazy. What if you found out Ginola used to collect stamps or was into carving poetry into wood? Would that’ve turned you off him anarl?
  3. I absolutely cannot wait to read about the reaction of when Tonali first meets Bruno in a footballing sense. Just seeing the pure quality he'll be lining up alongside, and how buzzing for it he is. Melts my heart thinking about it!
  4. Fair play you’re right.
  5. In the title-winning year he played LCM mostly and did his best work there
  6. Before the summer window started I was thinking we’d sign a no. 6 that can play 8 at a push, and a number 10/winger that could play 8 at a push. But our first midfield signing is a number 8, and one who has played best as the left hand no.8. That’s the side we have the most talent with JLinton and and Willockinho. So it has me wondering, could Eddie’s next magic trick be a software update of JLinton that turns him full on beast mode as a 6?
  7. As if he did “f**k all.” 20 goal involvements! Leicester went down because of defence not attack. As if Maddison’s responsible for sorting the defence out. And the only way to drag up that defence is effectively for him to score even more goals and assists, which is a massively unfair ask
  8. So Harrison Ashby hates Tiger Woods? Given our owners now own golf Ashby’s got to go! There’s no room in football for Sportism!
  9. It could be the end of the world: NUFC lose Bruno and N-O is no longer engaging & entertaining! Worrying.
  10. Probably the wrong thread to ask this, but has Grealish slagged off one of our players yet? I’m hoping he goes all in on Willock to release his goal-scoring prowess.
  11. The write-up in The Athletic about Zubimendi’ of Sociedad is absolutely drool-worthy. He’s basically Busquets regen with a Modric add-on. Let’s hope Nickson spotted him when scouting Isak!
  12. This is where I’m at. Unashamedly
  13. I said nothing about the first point. The second misrepresents my view on January. I was always clear that there was no need to take a RISK by not signing a midfielder. I said even if we make top 4 without signing one (and letting Shelvey go), it’s still a risk of falling away in the Carabao and the league. Now we fell away in one and not the other. Maybe we’d have done better in Carabao with an extra midfielder, maybe not who knows. My view was that the risk wasn’t worth it, not that it was a guaranteed bad move.
  14. It’s Kaka. How much more credible could you want man?
  15. With a rough Diamond, Hearts will always be the wrong Club. Needs to be somewhere that’ll put in the Spade work. A team in Texas that can hold em til they’re 21 is what we want. (the things we come up with whilst passing time on the loo)

I wish lol! No not at all. When I play golf, the trees hope for a bit of wind so they can sway out the way of my shots!

It’s like someone filmed me playing a 7iron only challenge round my local golf course
  18. That would be King Eddie doing his best to win manager of the season next year!
  19. It’s certainly true in the case of certain agents who are currently arguing over the rights to a prem player’s contract. He’s pretty high level and they have a number of players on their books so likely very widespread.
  20. It totally is outrageous, given that being an agent is a largely unregulated business. It just adds a little more perspective on player wage demands. They might be asking for more as they have ongoing liabilities to their agent/staff. It’s a bit like a boxer having to pay trainer’s wages etc out of their fight earnings, the headline figure might not reveal the whole picture.
  21. Interesting point on player’s wages. The agent takes their percentage not just on the transfer fee and/or signing on fee, but also of the entire wages throughout the contract. So if an agent is on say 10% commission for Tielemans, the agent will pocket £20k per week through the contract at £200k.
  22. I want Chris Rigg for the fume!
