Its never true that the decision will lie with the selling club. Luuk De Jong will decide where he ends up, regardless of who initially bids the most. Therefore the idea of a race to sign him is irrelevant.

I disagree, I think Pardew does like him. He's given him quite a few cameo's from the bench, where as Vuckic etc have had few. I don't think he will leave, therefore I presume Pardew has a plan for him.

I'm seriously worried about Goslings ability TBF. He doesn't seem to posses any of the technical skills that we are trying to implement into our team. In fact he seems a Nolan type. I suppose we should give Pardew and co the benefit of the doubt.

Massive fan of Guthrie. Great little player on the ball. His problem has always been his engine, he just can't get across the pitch like the top level footballer and it holds him back. He may have got away with it in Spain but not in the premiership, where the ball is flying over your head every other second. For a club like Reading he can be a major asset, whether they are in the premiership or the championship.

Nowt wrong with sending him on loan with a recall option. Most loans are done in months rather than seasons nowadays.

QPR are making a right shambles out of this having money thing. The Barton fiasco is just another example of making a statement by their owner. I don't mind seeing a transfer go through or indeed looking at the players we might sign. It's the mountain of speculation, conspiracy theories and twitter garbage that goes with it. It's all just a fancy way of trying to fill in the time. The Euros has helped in that respect.

Gerrard is god-like at Liverpool, in the same way Shearer was for us. The difference is that Shearer did it other clubs and at international level.
