Martins talent needs some severe nurturing before it is too late. The fact that he can score 17 goals in his maiden season in english football despite not convincing everyone that he is using his full ability speaks volumes. Also taking into account that he has yet to have played up front with a good or consistent partner. I understand the critisism that the lad gets because he can be frustrating but we need to be positive about his future. Thank fuck we have a competent manager now.

Bollocks to Distin TBH. Campbell and Hypia are still maintaining a higher standard of defending than Distin has ever played in my eyes. The positives that Distin has is that he is free, quicker and younger. He doesn't have any more experiance. At the moment all i would care about is getting Ben Haim through the doors. That is crucial in my eyes. After that either one of Hyypia of Campbell as a mentor fro Taylor would be fantastic. Then as NUFCO6 says a left back and we would be sorted. I'd get silvestre TBH.

First of all, i dont particularly rate Bent. He's stong and quick which is two extra ticks for Allardyce though. Personally, i don't see oba going anywhere. However, if i was the manager and i had an idea that Owen wanted out the first thing i would do is get an offer on the table for Dean Ashton. Class act and soon to take over the england mantle (from Owen) i believe. We need one of two types of strikers. Either someone big and strong who can hold up the ball and score goals (ashton) or someone with a creative touch that can drop deep and change the game. In my personal opinion we should look no further than Eidur Gudjohnsen. Can't see it happening though.

Will be a very good pair IMO. Similar to that of Gattuso and Pirlo. The real question is how will Scholes fit in. I suspect that Fergi planning a 433 tbh.

It's not only important to see how Campbell would help Taylor but also the help Taylor could give to Campbell. Where as experiance would go one way energy would go the other.

The only reason Flamini has been frozen out is because of Clichy (left back spell last season), Denilson and the return of Diaby. For me Flamini is a star in the making and has been outshined by fabregas. Don't get me wrong i'm not saying Flamini is a world beater but has incredible potential.

If you think we'll get Campbell for £1 million your off your head. He's out of contract next year but Harry will still milk all the money he can get, I'd expect he'd cost us £3/4 million minimum. If reports are true that Campbell wants to move up here then harry will know about it. Like you say he has a year left on his contract, which means they can either cash in now or lose him for nowt next year. They will probably sign Bramble on a free, therefore that money can go elsewhere. Either way there are better options than senderos. Distin, Tel Ben Haim and Hypia to name a few.

Don't understand that, West Ham would be wanting atleast what they payed for him in January. He means two other players in which Wenger gave up on.

We need an experianced defender in my eyes and i could see senderos costin a few quid. I'd rather pay 1m to get Campbell from portsmouth even if he only manages a season.
