His defencive header from that CP corner could have saved the game for us and allowed us to get the three points. I think he is an intelligent player has good movement but lacks confidence. For Rafa's system to work really well you need a Torres, someone who can score goals out of nothing. I think when Amanda is finished with me she will address that problem

Shola was awesome in training as well apparently. I remember George Graham talking about him once and he said that in training Shola was incredible but for some reason or other he couldn't seem to take it onto the pitch. Bit like golf pro's, watch them practice and they are incredible and save the bad shots for the competitions. It can only be the pressure that gets to some players.

Someone else to take over Pardews mess. Every club that Pardew has managed then left are left on the slippery slope to relegation and in a worse stare than when he took over, Charlton, Southampton, West Ham, Crystal Palace and of course us. How this guy gets a job in management amazes me

I don't know why people go on about Ashley. He owns the club, bought it when we were in serious trouble financially and has pumped a bit of money in. The likes of Brighton and Huddersfield have spent big compared to us but that will only move them up a bit nearer to our level. I terms of spend I think we should remember that Rafas wages alone are probably at least 3 times that of any of the other promoted teams. I believe that Ashley put in another £30 mil last season just to keep us going because our outgoings were much more (Rafa) Why people think that he should pump money he's made through his other business ventures into NUFC is madness

On BBC teletext this morning they said he HAD SIGNED for Newcastle

I don't think anyone expected the transfer prices to go as crazy as they have, it's just ridiculous and the bubble will burst leaving clubs lumbered with average players who they paid £50mil for and on mega wages. Ashley will be looking for players on zero hours contracts and minimum wage

Hope Rafa stays and takes on Ashley and I think he would do that. He didn't lie down at Liverpool and he isn't afraid to confront the hiarachy

Same problems he had at CP. I think that's why he spent most of his time there as an impact sub. Worrying really with no suitable replacement

It can't be easy getting players in the current climate. Clubs are asking £50 mil for rank average players, Stones at Man City is a classic example. We need at least 4 or 5 players and even with a £100 mil it gets you not a lot better than what we already have. Rafa will not blow money for the sake of it, he will find what he wants at a price he's happy with or he won't buy and that is the right thing to do

He has the same weakness as Andy Carroll.........he does not anticipate what ia about to happen or may happen, he reacts when it has already happened
