yeah, it's just that he's being brought into the squad in the summer so it's (potentially) replacing their three best players plus 2 fullbacks in one window
-
They're going to need a new left back, right back, centre half and right winger in the summer. And a new keeper coming in on top. Crazy that they've let themselves get into this situation for such a big club. Especially as it's only a couple of years ago that they had the same situation with their midfield

I was all set to get 7 Lee on my long sleeved shirt but it was £5 any name and number in the club shop and so my love affair with the number 18 was born and Gillespie became my favourite player ever -
Martins and Robert in the mix

That's what I was trying to get out, I doubt Hall and Tino are on mega money so outside of Tonali there are no new large wages outlays, bit we have Joe and Brunos new contracts to consider, net of the reduced amortisation of course! -
City when Haaland leaves in a couple of years and a new manager wants to reshape the team. (Although there may be 115 reasons why that won't happen)

If he's replacing Wilson rather than being as well as Wilson the sums might look different. If DCL wants a pay rise as a free agent then he's going to Saudi.

I'm sure I read that out revenue was going to be £300m either last season or this season so the calcs are out of date, we didn't add that much on wages for 23/24 either. Tonali will be on a wedge, new deal for Bruno and Big Joe and then whatever Hall and Tino are on. Bear in mind were going to save a fair bit with Wilson, Lascelles etc al leaving as well as some amortisation dropping off. Not to say we won't still be negative, but it won't be at the level shown -

It's what a lot of clubs including us did with TV money back in the day. Only difference is time as the TV money was within a year then fee instalments will be over a few years Om guessing they have some hefty fee instalments to make over the next few months themselves rather than looking at finding new signings -
Just imagine if they did, that's the best part of £150m-£200m to replace those 3 without a penny coming in. Salahs £400k a week being saved would be a help mind

Just watched the sky highlights, jeez we took a beating. 5 massive chances for ManU and we were hanging on after our 2nd -
Sandro is more AJ Styles there

They've got a problem this summer with recruitment. They should be fishing in the same pond as us and Villa bit because they are Man U they will chase the superstar names first, not be able to attract them, miss out on whom they should have been after then panic buy at inflated prices. It needs a total reset but in some ways they are too big to do it properly and don't have the PSR levers that Chelsea have to cheat the system and buy their way out of a slump. Basically they need to be lucky with who they get

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

Wouldn't surprise me if the current top 6 are the top 6 come May, different order but same teams. City will improve on the first half points haul, Arsenal will be pretty flat, Chelsea will stumble, Forest will hit a sticky patch, Liverpool will lose 6 games and we'll be perfect to win the league
