  1. West Ham would be funny, we’ll just because they are West Ham (and the stadium carry on). Spurs would be hilarious. Forest would potentially open the door to getting Anderson back at a sensible fee. win win win
  2. You don't often get hamstring injuries from contact like that, I'd be inclined to think dead leg or cramp. But yeah keep him rested at the weekend and midweek regardless
  3. Fucking challenge by this lad second half today
  4. Nice to see a decent number of shots from around the edge of the box tonight
  5. Kin’ell no way the Leeds fans are getting a train back tonight
  6. Very good tonight but obviously holding back a little. It was excellent keeping but Gordon of 2 years ago beats Vicario to that ball. not even a nit picking comment, as I say very good performance, just an observation
  7. the Arsenal back 4 of Dixon, Adam’s, Keown and Winterburn would look shakey with the way our midfield is set out. But what I will say is that they don’t half like defending in reverse, may well be linked to the Pacific sized gap between midfield and defence but on every attack we defend by running back towards or box. We must cover miles in reverse every game
  8. im worried his tank is empty, he looked in a bad place Saturday. On a personal level I hope he’s got the support behind him to bring him back up
  9. yeah but he ain’t doing that big reinvention whilst in any job, it needs a sabbatical. so no we won’t look daft if that scenario happens
  10. Loans with obligations or options should be banned anyway, they're (especially obligations) are just a PSR workaround. And premier league teams should not be allowed to loan players from other premier league teams
  11. So we're going into next season with Pope as #1 or #2, 3 fullbacks to cover both positions, Elanga/Murphy/Barnes/Gordon as the wide players. 3-4 is no where near enough imo. Even if we have nobody of value leaves it's 2 GKs, 2 Full Backs, 1 Centre Back, 1 Centre Mid, 1 winger, 1 striker minimum to freshen out the squad. Likelihood is we are also replacing at least 1 of Tonali and Tino and one of the Strikers, maybe Gordon as well
  12. If Howe is the best manager that we can attract then we are losing him to pen of the top 6 in the summer anyway. And we don't need someone better, if there is a change we need someone to successfully bring a new and different approach. That person may have a CV that is better, worse or the same as Howe and why they end up doing here will determine 'better'
  13. We've failed in the summer if Woltemade and Wissa remain our options up front. I think we're in double digits for signings, there's going to need to be some free transfers or riskier punts to make the money work, and in a world cup year.
  14. Ramsdale does this as well but for the first goal today he dived with his arms almost tucked in, no extension at all. It's something he's normally good at in making the most of his frame when diving but that was a trex impersonation
  15. Thought the squad was full? Lopsided in terms of quality yes but not small in terms of numbers. Anyway comments like this annoy me as they rely on a new manager having the exact same players and playing a similar style. If that's the case then there may not be a better option than Eddie. But there absolutely are managers who could get more from the team this season just by simplifying the approach and absolutely managers who given £250m would have shaped the squad in a way that could have coped better. If not we are 100% losing Eddie to Madrid or Barcelona in the summer as he is the best in the world
  16. Tuchel would be great tbh, and I'm not sure there will be a huge amount of competition there. Whilst I think the powers that be will go to Jose, I've said before that Ancelotti would be my choice for an elder statesman. On the fence with Nagglesman so either Tuchel or Fabregas would be great as the next move
  17. I'm going to be open here, just changed my vote to time to go. I'd love it of he can turn the season around a little, and at least show signs of changing a few things ready for the summer. However he looks done in himself, I'm not sure of he has it in him to get the funk back and therefore for his sake as much as the club it's time to make a break at the end of the season
  18. It will be Jose, and you know what I'm all for the ride for 2 years before it blows up 🤣 It's written in the stars that he manages here, may as well get it out of the way
  19. But you'd also get very long odds for Howe getting 2 CL qualifications and another cup in the next 3 years
  20. What we are seeing is what happens when you buy system players and the system stops working. Someone coming on and just going back to basics would get more from the squad in the short term, even if it would be by far worse in the long term. You also have to wonder just what happened in the summer, Isak leaving does seem to have damaged something and it's more than just a player going
