A 2 year period in which your trading has to pay back the overspend - i.e. a net sales proceeds for 2 years -
I'm looking at this season as being this generations 94-95 season. And we all know what happened next

That 5 point gap looks bigger today than it did last night -
imagine the demand if we pull off a marquee signing before release date

Looks like he’s developing a Ronaldo (the real one) head

Lets be honest, all of this noise around Neves and Saudi is just providing a perfect cover for us to go under the radar with our real targets.

Dogawful Officiating: PL to keep VAR next season (official)

There's a growing trend in the welsh FA where referees are refusing to do DBS checks so that they can't do youth football. A referee in a U13 game was prevented from getting into his car at the weekend and parents were getting physical with him. No serious contact thankfully but (a) wtf, its an u13 game and (b) that's just going to transfer to the kids on the pitch -
the makings of a good chant there

Talksport suggesting there is a possibility of another 10 point penalty for them on the horizon? -

Yeah that was a really badly written post. I didn't mean that owners should be making more money - I couldn't give a damn about them, its more that unless you are a mega club it seems too difficult for a club to turn a profit and compete despite income levels increasing on an almost annual basis through new TV deals and commercial deals getting bigger. Clubs are basically a vehicle to take cash from us (wither directly through the turnstyles or indirectly through rip off TV subscriptions) and pass them to players and agents. Any money from transfer fees just gets swallowed up as the player you buy to replace one you sold inevitably ends up being more expensive. Basically, imo removing FFP only benefits 2 sets of people - players and agents -

I think that I kinda come down on the side of getting rid, but then if we get rid of the protection against financial doping and let the biggest wallet win then why wouldn’t you scrap all anti drug use policy and let the best drigs win? -

but if you increase the allowable losses it just feeds onto higher fees and wages. for all the money pumped into football there is a disgracefully low level of profits being made. It all leaks out to players and agents in the end and if you allow clubs more spending room that is exactly where it will go -
How can the premier league bring in a rule that dictates how clubs outside of their jurisdiction manage their squads? I get that its incoming loans but other clubs are having restrictions placed on where they can place their assets which feels wrong. Its basically something that can only be in place for January and would be thrown out of court if challenged

I really don't see a downside to any scenario THIS year - after all we were never winning it this year. 1. We sneak second, get though to the first knockout round and probably get knocked out by Barca or Real. Its a glamour tie and we have had a good showing 2. We secure third, drop into the Europa and go deep getting good experience and coefficient points (also another avenue to potential CL qualification for next year) 3. We finish last freeing up the fixture list post Christmas and allow us to push on in the league and give the domestic cups a real good go. If we qualify again for next year then getting to the last 16 is probably the aim
-
Looking at the fixtures up to Jan its probably our most favourable set of games of the season. 12 to play including Bournemouth Everton Fulham Chelsea x2 Luton Forest
-
Best possible game for him to miss before Christmas now imo

Not sure it is that difficult for this one. as good as little Joe was, Howe will not start him twice in a week after the injury he’s had. We’ll see him 65-70 mins in -

you’d swap Trips and Tino there if you’re playing them both. Trips on the left to shit down Saka isn’t the worst idea on the world
