Games on Metro were my childhood and loving away from Newcastle Razor and Ando have been the main way of keeping up with games. Having spent time listening to other local commentator teams we really do have a belta of a pair, despite as you say their obvious points of either unprofessionalism or hyperbole

I think all the continental tournaments should be played in the same season so players get a fair break every other year. Afcon and world cup in the same season is daft

If we'd held on against them we'd be above them on GD right now. Stupidly tight league atm

I can see Tonali on the bench again if he's not 100% -
Is that 2 games until he's outscored Isak?

I've got it on my head that Jose has a pretty shit record at SJP. Probably a false recollection -
As I say it's not knocking him at all, it's just that saying he has signed players who have improved the squad is not really praise when he was looking to upgrade on Big Jeff in midfield. Id argue the prose in his transfer work has been in identifying the players who have been undervalued and being able to convince them to join when they did
-
They'd have built a different make up of squad tbf. The question is would they be doing a better job of they'd started when Howe did and had the same amount of cash to spend. What sets Howe apart on the conversation is how he has grabbed and improved the culture in the club
-
Things like signing players consistently who have improved the squad and the best British manager since Fergie are really doing Howe with faint praise. They are such low bars. That's not a knock on Eddie, it's a knock on what he's being compared against.

Nothing is rising here anymore

Yeah I'll be all over the drill top if it's a true remake.

We should go for hosting the Europa or Conf League final on SJP as it is now.

Used to be soccer02 etc and had no issued with them in the past. Just dropped £100 on kits there yesterday for the kids so hopefully OK. Have to say, the Tenerife originals I picked up over the summer were spot on, leaving more suitcase space next year

I don't see Barnes being a priority either way, if we get a decent offer happy to take the money and reinvest, if we don't then I've no issues at all with him as the 2nd option at LW. Big Joe is the interesting one, the only place we'll get the right money for him is Saudi but that has UEFA implications and he is also one of a core of players who I think get to decide on their next move. We're fortunate that next summer isn't as critical for PSR thanks to Isak so I would see the majority of the squad kept together. Likely need to focus on a GK, full back, RW. CM needs looking at but we'll need to see how Miley progresses this year as to what profile is needed
