Wish i could come and live in the ideal world with you. I'm not saying its the only way, but everyone with ties to the club would saviour a trophey won on bringing through your own players and hard work more than one which is bought. Unfortunately though I can only see it becoming harder to win this way unless FIFA bring in some sort of debt management or spending cap ruling.

We've brought in some good young players (well potentially with the likes of Soderberg, Ranger etc) and the summer buys all look promising and were what we have all been crying out for. We've even managed to get decent money for the likes of Emre and Milner to keep the books looking healthy (which despite what some people say is important). Isn't as satisfying when you win the league like that. Similarly using a Game Genie to complete Mario. Its more satisying spending a million which you have earned compared to that which you have won. It doesn't matter what the outcome of today is. Come the end of the season Keegan will still have quit/been sacked and today Ashley panicked after the protests and reinstated him. Have you got a link to that? In 2007 we made a loss of £32 million. That would have been after player trading etc. Basically the £300,000 loss = no money available to finance transfers without taking on debt or selling players. The £32m is kinda irrelevant as its paper losses based on past buying

Going to be an upopular post.... If it has got to the point where Ashley and Keegan don't feel that they can work together then its best that he goes. (Just no Wobbly Eyes in please Mike). There are 2 weeks before the next game to get a replacement in (which imo will be Shearer). There is a decent squad to work with now and 3 months to identify touch ups and ship outs before Jan. However, I HOPE that it doesn't come to this and its just a snowballing pile of dog crap
