  1. The defender committed to block the cross, however, Bale was shaping to cross and it hit his standing foot, so the ball rolled out for a goal kick and Bale kicked the man sliding in. No doubt it hurt but a bit dubious for me.
  2. Feel like I read this every week.
  3. Bale's kicked the fuck out of a Stevenage defender and it's a pen. Good.
  4. Why are they obsessed with Gavin Mahon?
  5. He has a higher points tally than the 'listed highest'. 78 points. The 'highest' button says 74 points. Hasn't updated yet, 74 will be the highest total from yesterday. I think.
  6. Get in! Milner's come on, Silva doesn't play. RVP captain. Chelsea behind. FOOTBALL!
  7. This. Nailed on to play 10 minutes..
  8. Maybe someones bought the stadium rights?
  9. It's going to get very complicated later on in the season, games like Liverpool vs Chelsea (second last game) could have a huge effect on us. Teams going in and out of the top 4 and how that effects us - let's just hope a non-top 6 club doesn't make it to the FA cup final and keep it simple!

    Alan Pardew

What did he say? Missed it tonight. "Chairmen don't like to sign older players - that's the problem we're having *Pards chuckle*"
  11. From last season - http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Explanation-of-which-teams-still-have-chance-of-qualifying-for-Europa-League-including-Manchester-City-Stoke-Tottenham-Liverpool-article727553.html
  12. It would, wouldn't it? Apparently not - it only goes to the runners up if the winners have qualified for the Champions League. Yes, if we finish top 7.
  13. It was a perfect result for us, Liverpool didn't play well and had to go through 120 minutes plus pens but still won which ultimately helps us.
  14. So, FA cup, ideally we'll get Tottenham vs Everton & Chelsea vs Liverpool as a semi final line up - basically as long as two of Tottenham, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the final 6th (and 7th if Liverpool are top 6) is a Europa spot. The other permutation is if one of those teams doesn't finish top 4, as long as they win the FA cup the runners up won't get in, as they'll qualify for the Europa league via the league and the cup spot will therefore go to the league. For example, if Chelsea finish 5th but beat Everton in the FA cup final would not mean a Europa league place for Everton.
  15. Old ass men fighting. To be fair, he's played well at right back
  16. Heh? If Cardiff win any chance of 7th, where we are quite likely to finish, being good enough for Europe is gone (will go to Cardiff).. And if Liverpool win and we finish 6th? Wouldn't affect our chances I don't think. Would be dependent on the FA Cup finalists.. That's how I understood it anyway.. For us to finish 7th and qualify for Europe it'd need Liverpool to win today and finish above us and one of Chelsea, Liverpool or Spurs to win the FA cup and finish above us. No, it would depend simply on who the FA Cup finalists are, who wins is irrelevant. Only if they're both teams above us. Well yeah... but if Chelsea, Liverpool or Spurs win the FA Cup, that won't open another place for us, as you suggested - it'll go to the beaten finalists. The only way we might come into play in that scenario is if they're playing each other. Did they not change that? No. They changed it to that, hence why Stoke got in last season. Long gone are the days where we would lose in the semis and get a place. The final runners up only get in if the team that won it have qualified for the CL. Really? That could be handy then.

  18. This should have been a great weekend for us, looks like it could be horrifically bad.
  19. Lawro sounds like Wolves have just been relegated
  20. Bound to be on as a pundit, if it was on Sky they'd have him and Peter Reid in their usual balanced punditry output.
