  1. Ah yes, that'll be a nice little affordable day trip with the family
  2. https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/ownership-group-makes-further-investment-in-newcastle-united/
  3. Aye fucking ridiculous. Surely there's (small amounts) of money left on the table by not having all the cup games broadcasted? Even if it's just low level productions, like the ones we got in Championship.
  4. Only watched about 20 minutes of the High Performance podcast, would absolutely love for them to do one with Bruce just to take the piss out of him and let us compare the answers
  5. Absolutely no reason not to start Miggy IMO. The lad is as fit as anyone, him playing tomorrow won't impact his performance on Saturday at all. Only argument would be that he'd be a decent impact sub, whether we're winning or chasing a goal, but I'd rather play our best players and use the five subs if we're doing well. Cant argue with the rest of that team mind.
  6. He's been utter crap for a while now Tbf. Think they are better off playing Maupay up front and hope the goals will come from other players on the pitch. Honestly don't get this line of thinking from managers. Winning breeds confidence, and when you're as bad as Everton are, a confidence boost could make all the difference. On a separate note though, imagine how class it'd be if the cups had enough economic insensitives to be worthwhile even for relegation fodder, and even more so for lower league teams. To the point where if you get relegated, you could still say "aye well we went down, but got to a semi final in the cup, so that's half of that money already recouped". As it is now, unless you actually win the bloody thing and get to Europe, there is so little incentive for a relegation candidate (other than what I said above regarding confidence) to take the cups seriously.
  7. He really couldn't wait for that sweet sweet retirement money
  8. Turned 18 during the 2006 one in Germany. Since then, it'll have been in South Africa, Brazil, Russia, Qatar and USA. I'll be in my 40s for the next one in Europe that I could plausibly go to
  9. Really hope it's Miggy and ASM either side of Wood. Miggy can run for days, no reason to rest him now with the WC coming up.
  10. Absolutely not, doesn't make it any better.

Annoys me how far behind Everton we are. Sure we've been shite for a long time and have had two seasons away, but still feel like the difference should be less than 150 points.
  13. Oi you! Don't you know football is a proper man's game, for proper men like Jack Grealish and Anthony Gordon! This discussion definitely belongs in here with other proper men.
  14. Well over 20% of the 'extended highlights' on nufctv is from before the game even starts, and then we don't even get one replay of their goal I get that it makes sense to focus more on our play than theirs, it'd be nice to be able to analyse what goes wrong for their goal a bit as well.

    We are fucking mint
  16. Aye, it's great. Hope we never change it.
  17. Both are better than their current one, but I prefer option 1 for pretty much the same reason as @54
  18. I mean, that makes a fair amount of sense
  19. Shirt out, short sleeves. Was a rule that you had to tuck your shirt in for bit, then it came out after two minutes
  20. One of my favourite ever Newcastle goals that one. We've scored loads that are probably better, but that one just sticks out for me for some reason. Loved Oba as a player tbh, even though he's pretty far down the list of NUFC strikers in terms of quality, I just loved his style of play.
  21. Didn't know that, who was he on here?
  22. Marseille knocked out of the Europa League with that last second goal as well.
  23. Watched the second half and thought he was his usual class self tbh. Lush ball for Murphy IIRC, and played a big part in starting the move that lead to the Joelinton goal.
