Can we just sack the prick now, please? That five year contract isn't looking half daft now like.
  2. Top 3 sides have those players, 4th isn't a million miles away. i agree however tottenham have the likes of modric, van der vaart, bale and adebeyor. Liverpool have Suarez. We dont have a player of the class of these type. However it could be argued that our team spirit and camaraderie vastly outweighs having such world class players. Hatem Ben Arfa, Cheik Tiote and Fabricio Coloccini disagrees.
  3. I would rather have Jonas than Taarabt, and I'm far from Jonas' biggest fan.
  4. Fuck that, I want Sow, so both Cabaye and Ba can have a word. Cabaye Tiote Jonas Ben Arfa Sow Ba
  5. If we were to move him on, we'd absolutely have to keep R.Taylor, or we'd have basically no cover for either full back positions (Pardew doesn't seem to want to give Ferguson a chance there and Tavernier is probably not ready/good enough). I'd be happy to move Santon to the right side and bring in another left back, if he'd be of the quality we were linked with in the summer.
  6. Traditional powers like Nigeria, three time defending champion Egypt, Cameroon, and South Africa failed to qualify. I really don't have any idea who might do well. Ivory Coast and Senegal, obviously

    Sunderland...

That has got to be the worst comparison I've ever seen Sessegnon is a poor mans Ben Arfa. Got a lot of skill, but seems to lack end product (mind, that might be because of the shite he's playing with). Nolan on the other hand has got about zero skill but knows how to score.

Injury to Bentdner and they are fucked IMO. Unless Wickham manages to step it up, which I highly doubt he will.
  9. We're not talking about Sunderland here mate
  10. Never mind Ryan Taylor, imagine if it was Simpson. Or if it was Simpson who let Defoe turn and shoot.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He's never been a greedy player. Likes setting others up, which you will have seen from his time here. He said himself when he signed on loan last year that he is the type of player that will always try and make things happen, and that it won't always succeed and he might look bad because of it, but he's a brave player and won't let that stop him from doing what he does best.
  12. And as I mentioned in the Wigan pre match thread, Jonas and Santon has the potential to be lethal down the left.
  13. Interesting point the first one mind. How many times in the past have we seen Jonas maybe hold the ball up waiting for Enrique to make the overlapping run and giving it to him? Now though, he seems to be more prepared to have a go himself. Aye, good point. I've given him a lot of stick, and have on several occasions called the "Jonas-Enrique partnership" bollocks, because it was mostly Jonas waiting for Jose to help him out. Now, as you say, he'll run at players higher up the pitch more, and is certainly not afraid to shoot either. His shooting is about as hit and miss as it gets, it's like he closes his eyes and just hopes for the best, but even at that, it's a massive improvement. He's been very good this year, second only to Colo as our best player this season.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Even though he wasn't great yesterday, it's fantastic to have him on the pitch. It surely can't just be me who is expecting something to happen every single time he is on the ball. Obviously it doesn't, and it almost cost us yesterday, but that sort of quality is so rare in football that we have to use it. Great to hear Pardew talking him up, sounds like he'll start against Wigan
  15. While I would love to see Marveux and Ben Arfa in the starting eleven, the most important change is to get Santon in there ASAP. For me, Taylor is the one that makes room for him, a lot of people on here disagrees with that, but in the end, it doesn't matter all that much who he replaces, as long as he replaces one of our full backs. Can't help but feel that our left hand side would be fucking lethal with Santon and Jonas there, and when we eventually have Ben Arfa, Marveux and Ba in the side as well, we'll have too many attacking options for our opponents to be able to double up on Santon and Jonas.

    Sunderland...

"Watching them today is the first time I have considered that they might actually have better players." Things like this makes me laugh. It's taken them 8 games to see that Cabaye is better than Gardner?
  17. Deserves a hell of lot of credit for our first goal. His run is what opens up that mile of space for Ba.
