The majority of Nolan's goals have come from CM when we've played 4-4-2. Are you sure? I seem to remember him scoring typically with a single striker. I do remember him scoring in the 442 recently but that was off a rebound, just outside of the penalty box. With a single striker (typically carroll) he plays more forward, in front of goal. Nah, you're wrong. Nolan is most effective when he's got two strikers in front of him.

Ben Arfa and Tiote returning will be massive, I think we'll be fine even if we don't add another player. Barton, Tiote, Gosling, Nolan, Guthrie, Jonas, Ben Arfa is almost two players for each position, and most of them can do a capable job in most MF positions. And we've got Ferguson and Vuckic should things go tits up.

We should just save Ben Arfa and Tiotes returns for when Carroll is ready. Lose a few games, let everyone get into panic mode and then unleash our three musketeers and take the piss out of the rest of the league the last couple of months.
