Absolutely nothing wrong with that statement. If they ignore the players/positions that he wants and bring in their own then he might not be particularly chuffed. Sounds familiar. So you're believing what he's saying now?

Saw 25 minutes of the game. Didn't see him make a tackle or challenge for the ball, he ran at half pace and just didn't look very interested at all. The passes he made were short and simple, but at least he never wasted possession.

Will Smith be fit for City?

We could have made a £4m offer yesterday, but after it was rejected, we made a £5m offer today. Don't know anything about the lad, what's his position and what type of player is he?

Kinnear isn't doing a bad job though. He's come in and got some good results.

The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

I visit Portugal several times a year and after speaking to some Portuguese friends I think Meireles would be a great signing as we need a playmaker type. He is also very good at taking dead ball pieces. The only worry might be that the EPL might be too robust for him as he is quite small about 5'6" but better than anything we currently have Sounds like just the kind of player we need. -
Good news, I suppose.

Sick off him now, tbh, hope he leaves and we get a right winger or CM for the money.

We'd never accept a 65% loss on him tbf. This and the supposed value City place on Shay show how the other clubs view our situation though. They think we're desperate. Aye £2mill and £3mill are just insults, we paid £5.8mill for Joey and he is woh about £4mill even with his past history, as for the £3mill offer for Shay one of the best keepers in the league City should be told to fk off no matter what they offer now. Players are worth what people are prepared to pay for them, and nobody is going to pay near what you paid for Barton, given events since you signed him, regardless of how good a player he potentially is. Another way of looking at it is that players are worth how much it will cost his current team to replace him. Considering we are already at least one man short in CM, selling Barton would mean we would need two new CMs, and that would be a hell of a lot more expensive than £2m. As the prices for players have rocketed in the last 18 months, any team wanting to take Barton from us would have to pay atleast what we paid for him.

I'm not expecting us to get anyone in this window tbh. I'd be happy with this window if we keep all our players (bar Smith), and if we add to the squad then that's a bonus.

Reading this thread makes me realise how much I miss playing football. Sounds like you had a good game. -
Also noticed that Vidic told Berbatov before the free kick was taken that he would do just that

This game isn't televised in the UK I take it?

What I like about Jonas and Martins (both are regulars at saying the right things) making these kinds of comments, is that when they're on the pitch, it actually looks like they care. It's far too easy for a player to say that he's happy here, but then not being able to back it up on the pitch.

Mr C. Ronaldo? Bigger accomplishment what he's done in the last couple of seasons in the EPL (undisputedly a much higher quality league) I'd say. Larsson at Celtic? NB - Messi is awesome but lets not go overboard? Is that the second best player you could think of in the last 10-20 years?

"Big Andy did very well at Hull and was always a handful," said Joe. "I was pleased for him as well because he's worked extremely hard to get the opportunity. "And he will now start in the next two games."

Why would he want to go to Birmingham? Who cares what he wants? The slave trade was abolished a long time ago. "I think in football there's [...] modern slavery in transferring players or buying players here and there, and putting them somewhere." Sepp Blatter

Would be great business for us if we pulled that off.
