  1. Mordashov apparently has an MBA from Northumbria University
  2. Better away record than Man Utd. Most entertaining season since 02/03 in my opinion. Even back then it wasn't this dramatic, but in terms of excitement it's up there. I love that - for the first time in many years - I'm able to sit down in front of a game and always expect a worthy performance. From 2004 to our relegation a genuine performance away from home was a rarity, the other team would always break us down eventually and we'd look sort of gutless all the time. The battling character of this team is so refreshing, even more so taking into account that it has come back from a couple of major disappointments (losing CH, AC etc.). Long may it continue.
  3. Huge step towards safety. Didn't expect a win here at all, third team to win at St Andrews this season.
  4. Wasn't that their fourth sub? Beausejour, Murphy, Phillips and Jerome?
  5. As an athlete he certainly is. As a footballer, probably not. I wouldn't say Lövenkrands or Best contribute that much to our general play. Their finishing is better looking at the number of goals they've scored, but Ranger is as good a target man as any of them. Lövenkrands has stopped putting away his chances this season which leaves him with next to nothing to offer.
  6. Ability wise, he's ahead of both Lövenkrands and Best for me.
  7. Best players I've ever seen ------------------ Kahn-------------- Cafu---Cannavaro-Campbell---Maldini -------Iniesta---Vieira---Zidane--------- ---Ronaldo----Romario---Messi---------
  8. What is Martins' first language? His English is shocking.
  9. you say that like he puts in loads of crosses every game, fact is his distribution is his weak point, too many simple passes go astray. cuts tham out and he's a champs league/spanish intl. I actually disagree about his crossing, I think it's consistently pretty good. I know quite a lot of people are of the same opinion as you, but I've always rated his crossing ability. Maybe it's because of the contrast to Jonas.
  10. Thing is, I think he's slowly but surely starting to realize how unbelieably good he has become in the last two seasons. I also think he is fed up with not having proper players going for his crosses etc. Ben Arfa in the side would probably help the cause, just hope he comes back in time for Enrique to start enjoying playing with him. Probably his best performance of the season today.
  11. I think we'll perform similair to today. Will mos def struggle to get goals again.
  12. Ranger on to win it. Lövenkrands off for me, should have scored and he is weak as fuck.
  13. Elmander scored a cracker for Sweden yesterday. He'd be a decent signing since we need a complete overhaul in the strikeforce.
  14. I wouldn't say Ranger & Best are weak players....
  15. Unbelievably shit player.

    Leon Best

His heading......... Even leading up to his goal, he completeley missed the ball and pretty much got hit in the face. This happend several times in the game. It's like he has no idea what to do with his head when the ball approaches. Reminds me of Will Ferrell when he doesn't know what to do with his hands during an interview in Talladega Nights.
  17. He is turning into one of my all time favourites. It's been a long, long time since I saw anyone care this much about the club and fight for the cause in the way he does. As big a leader as Nolan and he does it by example. The fact that he is being overlooked for England is a joke. On par with Adam Johnson in terms of best English midfielder this season.
  18. Ranger is brilliant coming on like that. Changed the game for about the 5th time
