You can see why they're in the bottom 3. Dawson is hopeless. They look shite at the back, absolutely woeful effort. Not helped at the other end by Tainio and Bent barely touching the ball. I'll be staggered if Berbatov isn't off the bench at the start of the 2nd half. Newcastle easily better side without playing particularly well, too many hoofs, but NZogbia (Mot1/2) and Martins too much for them to handle.

Jol has always been a bit of a cunt when he's under pressure. I remember when he first got the job they went on a poor run and Iain Dowie was covering one of the games on the telly, they got beat and he said Jol got it wrong - Jol came out and said Dowie wasn't fit to tie his laces. He's got no class whatsoever.

No, before my time. I assume it has something to do with that movie. Maybe Michael Caine was in the Kippax.

Today was the Zulu's 25th Birthday Party - apparently they were formed on a trip to Maine Road in 1982. As a result a load of 40 plus year old fucktards turned up and caused some minor grief. Embarrasing really.

I'll assume you didn't see his performance today. Huh. He wasn't even reffing the game today.

FFS. No wonder Randy wants O'Neill to go forth and multiply to the England job.

http://www.onpointradio.org/content/2002/09/25/092502jail.gif Lucky... Definite foul to win possesion for our goal...Johnson hacked down Muamba when he was carrying the ball away from danger, absolute stone-iron foul, no-idea what was going thru the ref's head. 2 passes later Elano has it 16 yards out and its yet another beautiful finish. Left foot, drilled into the bottom corner. I swear that guy must have laser beams in his boots...Another goal he couldn't place better if he'd walked it in. They hammered us 2nd half too...2 chances after Hart came for and got nowhere near a long freekick, and another when he dropped a corner, one blocked one headed off the line, both could have gone in - but they should have scored when Kapo got to byline and pulled it back for Muamba 6 yards out, all he's got to do is miss the goalie and its 1-1, he put it straight at him. Not great from Braz...er, City, but a wins a win. Above the rags now - come on the Villa!

"He turned down a new contract at Premier League side Newcastle United on 29 June 2006." How is that O'Brien lad doing. I remember him being the next big thing on here - only time I saw him he got the ball and ran it straight out of play for a goal kick. (Souness' funeral I think). I see he's gone to Hibs but is he doing owt?

There was a player who played against City a few years ago. Right wing. Never heard of him before or since. I thought his name was Britain but searching for that on google is like looking for a needle in a stack of needles. If anyone knows wtf Im talking about whatever happened to him? Curiousity and all that considering ive never heard of most of these other guys..apart from the 2 at Doncaster unfortunately

I wonder what Anelka makes of all this. I bet he spat out his cornflakes when he heard they had approached Megson. If he even knows who that is. If he is still a Bolton player on February 1st I'm Franz Beckenbauer. -

I thought you were joking.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7050538.stm Bwahahaha!! I wonder who they will end up with now? Carlton Palmer? :giggle: -
Never in a million years is Alan Smith an England player - and the sooner we stop picking players like Smith and Heskey - who are frankly shite, but can "do a job" - the sooner we might actually get a team together who can actually keep possesion when winning instead of constantly hoofing it up to the "big man" - and inevitably being on the recieving end of another attack 5 seconds later. I think the team should be something like: James Richards Ferdinand King Cole Barry Hargreaves Gerrard Rooney Cole Owen I'd also consider Ashton if Owen plays shite in that role. If King's leg drops off in the not too distant future I'm not sure who I would put in...it would have to be a proper footballing centre half. Someone who can resist the urge to put their foot thru the ball every time he gets it. I think its important to load up the midfield. And its important to get Gerrard out of the engine room, we need players with a cool head to play 5 yard passes backwards and sideways for 20 minutes. And the new coach must be a european (or me) - someone who understands that if we've got the ball, the other team aren't going to put us under any pressure.

SSN Breaking News: Paul Robinson out of Tottenham's game at Newcastle with Calf Strain Or should that be : Paul Robinson out of Tottenham's game at Newcastle with "Calf Strain". Unlucky eh. -
I'd take him at City. I assume the inevitable "misquoted" or "taken out of context" excuse will be trotted out at some point tho. Shame, I would actually like him to leave, I think he's a good player and he's really turned his act around - He doesn't seem such a massive twat nowadays, and I'm a big fan - so I'd rather not see him in a team full of such contemptable cunts. PS: Is John Terry?

Elano has just scored against Ecuador, after some crazy footwork from Robinho. Totally forgot about that game being on, would have stayed up to watch it I think. But I've just seen the goal. Just like watching City tbh

Robinson, Cole, Owen, all very poor I think. The latter two must have touched the ball about five times between them all game. Another poor effort from Blobbo, but he shouldn't have been there, McClaren made his bed by sticking with him. -

Replacement - Peter Reid? Bolton old boy turned Allardyce style long ball manager. Could do a great job there! (By which I mean, get them relegated ) -
Is right. I've always felt Ryan Giggs was overrated too. Not that he's a bad player but he's done nowt special this century - certainly not in big games anyway. I'll try not to go overboard on rags but its safe to say I could name several more. Aaron Lennon is another one. Don't see what the fuss is about - he doesn't seem to have much in his locker apart from pace and he seems to have a habit of completely disappearing away from home. Phil Neville? I honestly think he is awful. He seems to carved a little niche out away from the glare of the public eye where people don't think he's shite - they're wrong! Not up to much in any of his alleged positions for me. Woodgate. Another one living on reputation. Agbonlahor - Got a long way to go before he's half as good as some people think. Another all pace not enough end product type like Lennon. Plenty of time to improve but I expected more. Terry - Nowhere near as good as is made out. Helps that he never gets called for his mistakes (eg standing and watching Tevez completely free in the 6 yard box) for some reason. Consistently underwhelming for England. Token Newcastle suggestion - Taylor. Really nothing special and I find it baffling to hear stories about interest from Liverpool and more worryingly City while his contract is up in the air. Must have a good agent. And from City - Schmeichel? I'm not sure how many people rate him but he got way more praise than he deserved earlier on this season, he was ropey as owt.
