I don't understand the 'where is the loyalty' argument anymore tbh. There'll be no loyalty when he's on the downturn, fans are saying he needs replacing and the club start shopping him around at every opportunity. The 'love the club' shit is certainly disingenuous but if you see peers earning more than you than I don't blame you for wanting to be on a par, especially when it's likely your last big payday.

This is the biggest thing that makes me have faith in him being right for this club long term and the man to bring us a trophy. He could've easily rested on his laurels after Bounemouth and taken on Championship/lower half of the PL jobs until he just couldn't be arsed anymore. But instead he went away and learnt from masters of their craft to work on his weaknesses ready for when the right opportunity came along. And by God are we reaping the benefits.

I'm needlessly annoyed at how long it takes for a manager of the month to be awarded. We'll be voting on March's by the time February's is decided.

Guys.. I could be wrong.. But I think we might have gotten a steal.

I know I said it in the match thread and I don't know if he's being instructed to do so, but I'm sick of watching him on throw ins. Doesn't seem to matter if it's the 1st or 90th minute, it feels like he wastes a whole minute every time. That being said, he did a job last night. Kudos; didn't expect we'd have continued this run with him in the side, especially without him gifting a goal or two in the process.

Imagine being worried about what Burnley would do with a little bit of cash. I was happy enough with what Wood has brought to the team well before last night. He's been underwhelming in front of goal but he's given us a focal point that was clearly needed for Howe's instructions to work and by simply being there, worth every penny. I'm really pleased he's nabbed a goal and fingers crossed it gives him the confidence to grab a few more before the end of the season.
