Yeah how have I missed that? Switch out Derby. They've been gone long enough.

In fairness to him, he plays the soundbite game like a fiddle. He knows the media and everyday fan won't pay proper attention so one minute he loves a club, then that club has too much pressure, then he's a big boy that doesn't let what people say get to him, then he's being bullied, then he's going to retire from the stress, then he can't wait to get back on the training ground at his new club. The first paragraph of his managerial career on Wikipedia couldn't sum him up better, really. After less than a year at his first job he quit and 'contemplated leaving football for a job in television, but was persuaded by Huddersfield Town owner Barry Rubery to become the club's manager'. One attempt and he was going to pack it all in before some dipshit came running in with another easy payday for him. Come to think of it, I blame this man's entire managerial career on this Barry Rubery prick.

I've nothing against WBA so happy to let him implode within a couple of months and get booted in humiliation.

You know you've popped in to a thread of intellectual debate when you see 'woke squad' used unironically.
-
The more I watch back his cameos the more I wonder if Eddie is slowly easing him in not so he can acclimatise to England, but so the rest of the team can acclimatise to him. You can just tell some of the balls he tries to play are a little beyond some of our current crop's comprehension. Someone mentioned if we had Wilson up top during these cameos and I'm inclined to agree; if we had some better players ahead of him he'd possibly have two or three assists to his name already.

I'll settle for Manager of the Year once he's gotten us top ten instead.
-
If there's anyone still hanging off that drip's word then I'm concerned for their mental wellbeing.
-
The solace I'm taking is that the team has had constant upheavel already throughout our current run due to injuries. Fingers crossed we'll have both ASM and Manq back. Our rotation options will look a lot stronger as a result and I trust Howe to manage it accordingly.

Just over a week ago I was hopeful we could hop out of the relegation mini league and in to the lower mid table mini league. Now I'm dreaming of cracking top ten.

Even as someone that maintained he had something about him but just needed someone to unlock it, I was just hopeful of competence. I'm still astounded at this turnaround. I love the guy and I'm so glad he feels that love from our fans, too. Seriously, how much of that £40m value do we think he's regained? I know it's just opinions and algorithms but I'll be interested to see what Transfermarkt next updates to. Was shocked to see it sat at £13.5m then realised it's not updated since December 23rd.

This is utterly erotic. We may have a man advantage but I can't imagine many managers in our recent history having the players making this much of it. When was the last time we could say it felt like a practice match?
-
Cheers, folks. That pre-order's gone straight in the basket.
-
I'm particularly a fan of the responses in there asking when the last time was that he didn't take a 'toxic' job. Seems to be a pretty common theme that his pals really refuse to grasp at the expense of winding up fans of his former victims.
-
I've no shame in admitting I'd love it if this Storey mentalist somehow manages to get his penniless mitts on the club.
-
The most hilarious thing about it is that they tried Conte just 6 months after already failing with Mourinho. Really does seem like Levy doesn't have a clue what he's doing anymore. Seems he's winged it from the moment they started on the downturn under Poch.
-
Hadn't seen that. We really seem to want to make an enemy out of Brighton.
-
Not ol' lovely bloke Steve Bruce, surely? Sounds more like the kind of guy who's actually abrasive with the media, gaslights his own fans, is one of the shittest managerial mercenaries football has ever seen or who runs a slumlord business on the side. Oh.. Wait..
-
Exactly what I was thinking. Like a pushover parent who pretends to tell their kid off so their partner thinks they're actually doing their job. 'Don't worry. If the media ask, I told you to buck your ideas up and its time to roll wuh sleeves up. Go have a couple of days off, you boys have earnt it. Now if you'll excuse me my kebab is being delivered any minute.'

How long do people think WBA would stick with him if he continues to go winless?
-
Just sheer curiosity but to the Gasheads in here, putting the obvious bias aside of you seemingly being happy to have him back, do you think he's got what it takes to jump straight to the Championship or better off testing himself in League One first? Not that I'd be averse to him sticking with you guys if you kick on and go up. The consistency and already-clear support for him could do the world of good.
-
As soon as they bring him on we just need to upstage them by bringing Bruno on.
-
If we managed to get 4 points out of the next two games, going 8 games unbeaten in the process, I really don't think we should be giving a shit about who gets caught up down there anymore.

Stop it, you've got me daydreaming. Imagine if Howe manages to fix this mess to the extent he beats Bruce's 12th and 13th places even with the first quarter season handicap. I wouldn't be able to contain my smugness.
