  1. Wahey, lecture 2m is cancelled - my weekend starts whenever I finish this bit of coursework . . . . . . (sorry)
  2. The papers will be full of how spurs underperformed rather than how much we dominated and out classed them. We clearly deserved the result and more from that game what with the amount of posession, chances, corners etc. Listening to the commentators trying to make excuses as soon as spurs went down was embarrasing but right now, I don't give a fuck. Great result meaning the hard work is ALMOST done. 3 points next weekend and the real party can start!
  3. I cant described how happy I am at the moment . . . and to do it against spuds as well, fucking bliss! Now to give all my spurs supporting mates some shite
  4. I can sense smith scoring with the game were playing, just depends on who he replaces.
  5. The commentators are gutted . . . . . . . . . unlike mike who was loving that 3rd - another night out for him and morty?
  6. Support is class, like the team it hasnt stopped. Could have easily been 3-1 twice then.
  7. Decent half of football. If anything we're bringing the game to them and quite rightly deserve to be in it - more of the same in the second half!!

Impressive turn out but embarrasing scenes at 89+ minutes where it seemd a good third of the crowd decided to piss off home. I know some people have to leave slightly early to catch a train/bus but after the performance and the first win in a long while, the players deserved an applause. Whats it showing to the players and the media that even after a great win, people opt to save 2 minutes at the bar rather than applaud the players they've paid good money to watch? I definately wouldn't be happy if 2 or 3 players decided to walk off the pitch as soon as the board came up. Nevertheless a good turnout and a fairly decent atmosphere even when the nerves started to kick in.

Just the same as the other 'challengable' games in the last few months - bolton, blackburn, middlesbrough . . . . . . so yeah, caking it. A draw will feel like a victory tonight but anythin less and we really are fucked. Next week will just be as bad now that fulham have started to play football again . . . .
  10. Bleep test is quality, used to get pretty far when i was younger and a got x-country runner. What was that TV show on a Saturday night where the contestants had to do it? Could have been the Krypton Factor but I'm too young to remember it properly.
  11. Pre african nations Beye looked amazing at right back (with a few odd mistakes) but I have to say Carr has been quality in his absence. Hes got forward on occasions and has even stopped his silly fouls when he knows hes behind the opposition's winger. Don't know whether this will continue or whether he'll get fatigued but he deserves to stay there for the time being. Unsure whether Beye on the right wing would work despite his eagerness to get forward but its definately a position we are looking good in atm.
  12. His positioning on free kicks has been shocking lately. Not only does he leave half the goal free to shots but he fails to save the ones that come into his own side. If he isnt capable of defending the whole goal then please get someone to drop back onto the post. I understand that some of the free kicks conceded this season have been screamers but if you don't buy a lottery ticket you can't win it.
  13. I somehow managed to sit through his rant pre-match but soon turned it off afterwards. He basic reply was he didnt have the funds he had been promised from freddy when mike and mort came in so he was forced to buy 'good' players rather than 'premiership players'. He went on to say that newcastle were in the bottom 5 premiership clubs for summer spending and that he got cacapa for FREE! He didnt have a reponse to why his 10 players brought in havnt performed but insisted it wasnt his fault although he may have brought in too many ideas to a new squad. It almost appeared that he was happy at drawing / losing the easier ties as long as the team performaned well against the big 4/5. Most of what he said was to the same format as the papers and SKY didnt help the matter whatsoever. However, what he said after the game about refereeing decisions not being levelled up throughout the season was spot on but I'll save that for another thread.
  14. We need to be safely up when the full time whistle goes against the mackems on the fourth last game- i cant see us getting anythin from the three final games what with the teams facing championship, champions league and UEFA cup uncertainties.
  15. We were lucky to get away with the linesman giving their second offside tbh, he could have easily given it. Unsure whether he was able to see Carr due to the smogs surrounding him but even if he could it was still the same size margain as duffs disallowed goal - the one the TV chose to forget. Owens goal should never have been disallowed. Keepers get a ridiculous amount of protection nowadays despite often being off balance when jumping and 'trying' to make the catch. As for the smogs goal, i kind of fell sorry for Carr. Not only was he having to challenge the player infront of him (who moved and definitely went to play the ball despite being clearly offside) but the smoggy bastard behind him then leant on him just as he prior to heading it in. I didnt agree with a lot FS was saying on the TV but he got the fact right about decisions not levelling themselves out over the season. Within the last 10 games alone weve been subject to some very debatable decisions and not really getting anythin in return.
  16. Theres no time between the tough games to lift any confidence. A win was needed today to not only to lift us up the table but also life heads. We have to win our home games (even points from manure and chelsea) and steal the odd point away from home. Were in dogshit and unless the teams below us are as shit as us then i cant see us being higher than 17th!!!!! its gettin too close not to worry :-|
  17. Fucking joke! SACK THE BOARD
  18. Not a great performance, very scrappy and messy at times, but the change in the teams attitude and performance since last week says it all. very much undeserved but sam is staying where he is.
  19. big sams black and white army (clap clap clap clap) big sams black and white army (clap clap clap clap) big sams black and white army (clap clap clap clap)
  20. Interesting start. Blackburn are slowly getting back into the game and it'll be interesting to see mentally what we do when they do. It looks like weve done something in training this week at least. Very promissing nevertheless :-) Gutted im not with the 7000+
  21. The performance on saturday reminded me of the performance down at derby ELEVEN weeks ago - 2nd balls not even being competed, lack of even off target shots, lack of movement from both midfield and the frontmen, the ability to pass to one another, no enthusiaism etc etc etc I know it will take time for success to start showing but in this time we havnt improved one bit and have been lucky to get a result if any. Despite BS having an army of back room staff that struggle to fit into a double decker bus, I'm still unsure to what goes on in training and how his support team have improved the mentallity, fitness and positive attributes of players. As I say, it'll take time but surely some positives need to start showing soon otherwise player heads will drop (if not already) and then its one hell of an uphill struggle.
  22. 10 fans?! there were a hell of a lot more on the wrong side of the advertising boards . . . . . . . again.
