  1. What has happened to Ihenacho anyway? I haven't been keeping up. He looked a very good signing for Leicester, but has disappeared off the radar. Injured, crap or just kept out of the side by Vardy?
  2. Around 26,000 posts ago. Riposte. Not really. The joke's on me if my near ten years of regular posting is less memorable than the decade old thread that started it. That thread was almost as memorable as the time Oldtype went to the match.
  3. I wouldn’t. I mean I expect things to happen quickly, but I suspect running a bath will be a lot quicker than the completion of the takeover. You can certainly go out and buy some fresh Dove and Tresemme though. I'd expect the promise of full reimbursement for said products if this falls through first, Spirit. When did you stop lurking?
  4. As if someone like Stifler would make contact with a no mark like you. Send me your front door CCTV film or it didn't happen.
  5. I recall Ben Arfa having plenty of detractors, who hated Ginola and Robert?? Who are these old timers you speak of, young man? Who specifically? Just people I sat next to and/or met. It was always about them not tracking back or being lazy. Hindsight's a wonderful thing where Ginola's concerned, like. He was booed when he came back to St James' Park, presumably by the same knackers, but that seems to have all been forgotten and he's now rightly remembered fondly. Yeah, my uncle hated Robert due to 'laziness and indiscipline'. He couldn't understand why I loved him. Ginola was even more frustrating to many, often trying to beat a man in his own half and losing the ball. I was young, but I remember joining in with the frustration aimed at him from the terraces.
  6. I don't agree that he was rubbish on the ball. He often goes down seemingly blind alleys but tends to win a free kick when he does so. He reminds me of Jonas in that way. Overall, he was a useful outlet, was involved in much of the build up and looked more dangerous when Slimani came on. Jonas won free kicks, more often than not Perez gets dispossessed and told to get up. Today he won two free kicks that I can remember, but got dispossessed a handful of times. I don't see how anyone can defend his quality in possession anymore like, it's the other stuff he brings that make it worth putting up with. His positioning, closing down, first time passing, off the ball movement, and finishing are all good enough. But more often than not on the ball he's needlessly poor and it's really frustrating. A number 10 is still a very high priority. Courtesy of whoscored.com: Courtesy of I watched the match. I was in the Leazes. Maybe you got a better view. What you using Whoscored for then? Because you said that he doesn't get fouled much, whereas it's such an obvious aspect of his play to anyone with eyes that it's listed as one of his top four attributes on a stats site. Cool your jets, man. I just disagree with you, it's not like I don't watch every match as well. And FWIW, such obvious aspects of play as... https://www.whoscored.com/Players/105171/Show/Jamaal-Lascelles Weak at tackling. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/80758/Show/Florian-Lejeune Weak at tackling. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/112009/Show/Paul-Dummett Weak at concentrating. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/40027/Show/Jonjo-Shelvey Weak at passing. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109227/Show/Javier-Manquillo Strong at concentrating. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/126958/Show/DeAndre-Yedlin Apparently has no weaknesses. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/115279/Show/Aleksandar-Mitrovic Apparently has no weaknesses. It's by no means fool proof because the above are quite obviously nonsense. Haha, the Shelvey one is gold.
  7. Yeah, I agree, I'd be amazed if any of the bottom 3 get to 36 points.

  10. I agree that they aren't always spot on, but they have the stats to show that he gets fouled often. I think that he's a useful outlet, and often relieves pressure by winning a foul. He's not perfect, and rarely looks like scoring if we aren't dominating, but there are several others I'd replace before him and I thought he was especially good today.

  12. Looked hungry, and worried the defence and keeper far more than Gayle.

  14. Bellamy vs Feyenoord and Robert's second vs Tottenham. There are no other correct answers.
  15. Can I take a moment to comment on how absurd it is that a picture of me from SEVEN years ago is still somebody's avatar This forum that day, evening, unreal Greg literally passed me by on the street and shouted out "oldtype?" Nobody will ever believe it. What a day. What a night. Where have our lives gone I've just noticed that you registered on the forum in 2014. Total fraud

  17. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-3-0-southampton-read-14395128 Totally anonymous against Southampton according to the Chronicle
  18. By the look of this, not when he was at Liverpool: http://lfcstats.co.uk/rafatransfers.html One or two questionable signings, but pretty much everyone he sold either went on to do very little or brought in a good price or both.
  19. And a statue while we’re getting carried away Just the one? Deserves 4 I reckon, one at each side of the ground. And a testimonial http://4c2lgc59e181vuma1n9bmo1c-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/assets/Shola-Ameobi-Bike-Apple-NUFC.jpg
  20. I really can't see us going down now. Rafa is just too in control, and everyone is clearly working for the same goal. Combined with key new quality at goalkeeper and potentially soon up front I think we'll finish 10-12th.
  21. Benítez insisted: “We’re not a defensive team, we are a team that has to defend.”
  22. Good going forward, abysmal at the back. Harsh. Fragile yes, awful no.
  23. Three Joselu's Rich? Three. That's insane. It's four, but good reference I am very much aware of that. Naan too shabby.
