What an awful piece.

Refreshing to hear that from someone not speaking with black and white tinted glasses

I never ever understand why a professional footballer can even think about taking a penalty that way just fucking leather it Shearer style it's past the keeper before he can move Yeah, thats the way to take a penalty. Hard on either side and the keeper has no chance. Just like Shearer used to do and just like Kane does it as well. Yup, and if you're not confident enough about being able to hit between the goal posts, practise it until you are. That being said, so much overreaction on here for one bad performance

So glad I over slept for this match now
-
Tuesday: Sane -> De Brunye Friday: De Brunye -> Mahrez Im screwed already
-
Even though Joselu did well last game I'd prefer Perez behind Muto until Rondon is match fit.
-
Watched it four times in a row now Love the crowd as soon as he turns the first Bolton player. They are already on their feet at that point, cheering him on.

How anyone can watch "Hatem Ben Arfa - In My Prime - Newcastle United" and not think that he would be a club legend besides the likes of Shearer, Beardsley, Gazza etc. by now if it wasn't for Pardew and Ashley is beyond me. He was absolutely mesmerizing to watch. More natural talent and flair than Ginola.

Yes, I agree to some extent but the problem is that 1. the players we got came in late so they will need time to adjust. If Rondon, Schar/Sanchez and Muto had come in earlier they might have started and made us actually get something more than an honorable mention in the spurs game. We are likely to suffer at the start of the season now due to late arrivals not being fit or up to speed on our system. 2. The players we got was not on the top of Rafas list. The players he was more interested in could have been brought in if the promises of available funds were upheld 3. Yes we have improved, but so have everyone else bar Tottenham so the question is whether we have improved more than our closest rivals or not. On paper it looks like we haven't. 4. It was important for Ashley to show ambition this season to secure the future services of Benitez.

Why on earth would you have such an expensive midfielder as 3rd sub?
-
Was there many shoppers at the store while the protest was going on?
-
Most suble way to write that neither manager or players were happy with how the summer went. Maybe a hint that Benitez was happy to get an experienced player like Fernandez in last minute as cover for Lejeune?
-
Aguero two first GW, then swap with Aubameyang?
-
No matter how dire and how much individuals want to express and show their discontent, please do not deviate from forum etiquette. Move to Mike Ashley thread before we turn into RTG.
-
2/10 Too little too late and will most likely have dire long term consequences since it probably means we will not be retaining Rafa beyond this season.
-
He needs regular play which he won't get as long as Ritchie and Kenedy are fit.
-
Agreed. We already have cover. Seems overkill to get cover for the cover when we lack cover elsewhere unless it had been on loan like with the Brazilian guy.
-
Took over the mantle when Williamson left. The technically weakest player in the entire league.
-
I know Just frustrating to read all the negativity around the deals we have made. Its not those deals, except not securing Kenedy permanently, that are wrong. It's the signings we haven't made so why bring it up in this thread?
-
In isolation this deal is good. Short term decent cover while Lejeune is recovering.

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-news-transfers-live-15002093 Thank god. We've seen a lot of crazy fees lately but £20m for Ings would be the craziest one for me if Liverpool actually get that for him. 26 year old sicknote with one decent championship season and one decent premier league season behind him, three years ago. They weren't even spectacular seasons. 11 in the PL and 21 in the championship. Not that far off what Gayle did for us. I don't see any particular qualities other than that he seems to be at the right place at the right time in the box, but hes neither quick, strong or technical so fail to see how he would be suitable in our system.

Why? Anything beyond honoring the terms of player contracts is up to the club to decide. Surely they are not obligated to pay squad bonuses at all, although it is common practice?
