The players need to be smarter at the end of these games as well. The number of stupid decisions (needless fouls, headless clearances and hoofs etc) that allowed West Ham to drag the time out were the death of the game.

So frustrating to watch when you know how this team has played in the 4-3-3 system which would have been perfect for the game today. To the two "Pardew out" posts a few pages back: Give it a rest, that is complete bullshit. I know this loss is particularly sore due to Fat Sam, Nolan & Carroll, but no need to go ott. Take a timeout and come back instead.

Kyle Walkers passing in this game man....

Without shit defenders through the last years we would never have seen the Andy Griffin goal against Juventus. -

hm...no idea what to think. Hope we play well. -
Pretty good for two teams in 10th and 12th to field players equivalent to Bergkamp, Van Basten & Makelele

Five losses in a row for Club Brugge. One before they met us, and three after. Hopefully they continue that trend on thursday. -
Yeah, obviously have lost a lot of his agility after packing on some serious muscles. Still a good player I´d welcome back here.

They would surely become NEBB then?

...and ended up with Tore Andre Flo

7ish years ago since we´ve scored there, 8ish years ago since we got a point and 18ish years ago since we won. I´m amazed at how many people actually think we´ll win this one. What´s the odds on 3-0?

Society of Black Lawyers Sounds like something taken out of an episode of South Park

He never learned how to use it to full effect playing on the shoulder, but to claim the guy isn't fast, is a completely mental thing to say in public. Seem to remember a game against Blackburn(?) when he passed a through ball to himself?

Seeing Shola on the wing brought back some painful memories. Yay for 3 points. That´s about it....

Smells like a customary 3-0 win for Liverpool

Everton pen there surely?

This ref has been brutal towards Everton so far

Belgium do have an awesome team (on paper). GK:Mignolet DF: Kompany, Verthongen, Vermaelen, Alderweireld MF: Dembele, Fellaini, Witsel, Defour, Hazard FW:Mirallas, Lukaku, Benteke, Vossen None of these are over 26 years of age. In addition to that, they have some routine in Van Buyten and Simons and other relatively unknown (to me at least) but young players.

Think you need better bait to get some bites joeyt

We should be in contention for 6th together with Everton & Liverpool. 8th is the minimum position for me to deem it an acceptable season. Just can´t see us besting Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal & Tottenham. Not "panic" time just yet.

I think he looked completely out of it, so I guess arguing it is pointless. I do however think that the way the game was, with us so deep on the pitch, a fresh pair of legs would have been more beneficial in midfield than on top. Cisse wouldn´t have been able to cope on his own against O´Shea and Cuellar.

I think all of you are wrong. Coloccini seemed to be struggling to run after he got the cramp, so no problem with that sub. He really should have got Cabaye off for Anita instead of Ben Arfa for Obertan at that time. Cabaye had nothing left. He had to float the ball in on the last set pieces as he didn´t have the strenght to lift the ball otherwise. Could barely jog.
