  1. If Trafford agreed to a contract with Man City, as part of his transfer to Burnley, that would be activated if Man City activated their buy-back/matching clause, then he hasn't signed an employment contract against his will. If it was a regular buy-back/matching clause, he could have rejected Man Citys contract offer even if Burnley had to accept Man Citys bid. Doesn't really matter now which one is true. He did in practical terms choose them over us whether it was this window or the window he went to Burnley.

And something similar is probably what the other 24,999,999 says too. Wish people would be more principled in general, but especially when it comes to twitter links..... and EA FC pre-purchases.
  3. Yeah, hard to prove. Doesn't make the club any less obligated to honor the agreement legally and morally, and the club would indeed be massive cunts for breaking it. That doesn't apply if the promise was as reported by BBC about "big club" and "right price" without further clarification of what that actually is.
  4. Just playing devils advocate a bit here, but verbal agreements are binding. Doesn't matter if the person making the verbal agreement on behalf of the club isn't at the club anymore. I can understand his dissapointment (although I don't feel sorry financially for someone making what he is making regardless of what his peers do), but is it really worth potentially wrecking your entire career for it? What club wants to offer him the wage he can demand now, here or elsewhere, if he hasn't played a competitive match for 3 years?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Good enough for Rafa, good enough for us. Wolves wouldn't let him go cheap.

Nothing to do with them being in the same league as us now?
  7. I start writing so many posts about how much I love HBA and how good he was, but always delete them as they become so unhinged Simply the best technician to ever play for our club. Up there with the very best the world has ever seen. That is me restraining myself.
  8. Would it fix shit if PSR only applied to clubs that are unable to provide a blank parent company or bank guarantee covering all losses?

Not sure how to interpret all this niceism from the villa camp

It's the all too familiar N-O cope.
  11. Careful what you wish for. What if Forest managed to slip in a similar clause for wor vlach?

There were definitely some on here that used that argument.

Of course. I want to see as many interesting games as possible. They're a better team than they get credit for on here, but stop with this cucked mentality. We'll take 6 points off them this season.

Isn't that by choice? Low Block, keep it tight and aim to hit teams on the counter? Seems to be working just fine so far. They got some pace in the side too this summer.
  15. Agreed, and I think the vast majority of us would have taken a draw before kick-off. We weren't poor. We dontrolled the first half, lost the control in the second half up until the red card than regained control for the remainder of the game. That being said, I do feel it's completely justified to criticize how we approached the game after the red card. It should have been an alarm bell going off collectively in the team to crank the pressure and tempo up and smother a 10 man Villa. It should have been a trigger for Howe to make changes to make that happen. We didn't play with any urgency, and looked more concerned about Villa countering us than making something happen. There were also an incredible amount of poor runs, poor toches and poor passes that broke down every attack.
  16. If we're dropping two points it's more down to not chaning a single thing until the 78th minute. 1 point here is good, regardless of how the match goes.
  17. Christ this is frustrating to watch. So many individual faults breaking down every single attack
  18. Matty Cash is so worn and bruised he wouldn't be able to defend against Parks twists and turns this late on.
  19. God damn I had almost forgotten how frustrating it can be with Howe and subs. Villa with a red. Make some changes, inject some urgency and fresh legs into the side ffs
  20. SUB SUB SUB SUB SUB SUB SUB SUB LONG SEASON PLEAS SUB SUB SUB
  21. Get some fresh legs on, more attacking ones, and run these cunts to the ground
  22. No, you'll get Murphy for Elanga on 65-70th minute, Hall for Trippier 70-75th minute and Osula for either Barnes or Gordon 85-90th minute, and you'll like it.
  23. forgot the Joelinton yellow card, but that's marked on the chart as well now.
