Keegan took 10 games to turn around Allardyce's team and get them playing football again. Rafa took 3 games to stop the rot (even though it wasn't enough ultimately). Some pundits are going to get a hell of a shock when a competent coach comes in and transforms the team.

I fully expect that whoever takes over from Bruce will receive a call from Rafa offering them some of his insights.

Some of his all-round game does occasionally give me hope that under an actual coach he might become a halfway decent player. Then he'll trip over his own feet.

Had to be an own goal. Our own players don't seem to try to get into the box when we have players in forward positions.

Funniest part is, it was Shelvey's own horrendous cross that gave the ball away in the first place. It's like watching Alan Smith or Jack Colback again, giving the ball away cheaply then throwing themselves into ridiculous tackles to try and desperately win it back.

Yet again we look completely unprepared for the game. Players not knowing who to track, massive gaps all over the place, defence not moving together, etc. It's shit like this that should see him sacked regardless of anything else that's going on. He couldn't even be fucked to prepare properly for his 1000th game.

I'm fairly sure that you don't need to wager huge amounts to change the odds. One person placing a bet of £100 at 10/1 might be enough to shift the odds quite dramatically.

AVB could be interesting thanks to his SBR links, plus his win % is pretty good in recent jobs.

Whilst it would be nice to be shot of him immediately so there's a full week of training without his input, I hope they keep him on until the Spurs game. Then, right before kick off, Stavely can give him his P45 and have security escort him from the stadium in front of the entire crowd.

Since George Burley scored an own goal in the first 20 seconds of the game and Beardsley + Waddle tore the crap out of the rest of the Ipswich team.

I hope we'll stay a selling club in the short term. There's a load of dead wood we need to get rid of.

If Bruce is allowed to continue until January it'll be a huge struggle for his replacement to get enough points to avoid relegation. He's a woeful manager and is actively hindering the team. We need shot of him as soon as possible to make sure that we're not still on single digits come the new year.

Since FFP runs over multiple years & since Mike Ashley was so tightfisted, the club is actually in the position where they can spend quite heavily without causing problems. Plus, there's always the option of random Saudi clubs being forced to coming in to buy our surplus trash for unexpectedly large sums.
