  1. Crossing the ball high isn't really a very efficient way of scoring. We should be focusing on trying to pull it back low like our goal, Muto's chance, Joelinton's chance there and Matty Longstaff had a chance earlier also. Wasting our time flinging it in high We'd be a much better team & Joelinton might get some better chances if someone were to just tell him run towards the near post and tell the wide players aim for the guy at the near post. Joelinton always seems to be waiting for the ball quite deeply so any crosses that do get put in need to beat 2-3 players before he even gets a chance at a header. Get him moving to the near post & he'll have a chance at getting the ball before the defence, plus he'll drag defenders with him and create space for a cut-back pass into the centre to a player running into the box. That might require a coach with an ounce of sense though, so not very likely.
  2. Turgid match. Really happy for Almiron though.
  3. Andy Carroll's contribution to this game in gif form
  4. Dreadful. Can't wait for Bruce to make his subs and somehow make things even worse.
  5. While that was another disgrace of a performance yesterday, we are missing Martial, Pogba, Lingard, Shaw, Lindelof, Bailly, Jones and Wan Bissaka. That's basically half the first team squad and two more players who would have played yesterday instead of Rojo or Tuanzebe given the injuries. Rashford is also carrying an injury and having to play due to how short we are. He's lost a lot of pace in recent weeks. The squad is in awful shape at the moment. There aren't many managers who could do better. The only thing grating me now is Ole's interviews. He'll flat out refuse to criticise the team. Everything is "we were unlucky" or "that was a good performance." It's a stark contrast to his press work when he was caretaker manager. I kinda struggle to see any manager in the PL who would do substantially worse than Solskjær at this point. Your squad isn't particularly good, but it isn't horrible either. It's becoming more and more obvious that he is out of his depth in the Premier League. http://img.skysports.com/10/12/330/Steve-Bruce_2544816.jpg
  6. It's almost as if they have some kind of natural, almost brotherly, understanding between them.
  7. If Bruce was a genuine fan of the club he'd reflect on that game and realise that he's completely out of his depth and has no fucking clue what to do with the team to improve it, then he'd do the decent thing and resign. He won't though because he's a useless sack of shit who will hold on until he's sacked so he can get his payout.
  8. Another week, another disgraceful performance. Even at 0-0, 11v11, I have no clue what our gameplan was meant to be. A Pardew/Souness style just put 11 men on the pitch & they should be able to work it out themselves tactic would actually be preferable to whatever the fuck that was meant to be.
  9. Only just hears about the offside goal, apparently it should have stood. Almiron's was offside, Atsu had a chance prior to that where he was through 1-on-1 flagged for offside where he was well onside in the replay.
  10. Utter dogshit so far. We seem to be playing with about 7 at the back, Hayden in midfield & Almiron + Joelinton miles away up front. Absolutely no game plan whatsoever.
  11. You could just point out to people that whilst other clubs have raised commercial income by significant amounts in the last decade, Newcastle's has stayed flat, barely showing any increase since he took over. That's all despite the club being on TV far more and having a much greater media following than most other teams in the bottom of the Premiership. At a time when games are being broadcast more and more both at home and abroad Ashley has been completely unable to raise the club's profile and bring in additional sponsorship.
  12. After all the shit that Ashley has pulled in the past, I'm struggling to even get annoyed by this woeful appointment. It says a lot that I'm even quite pleased that I can go back to placing bets on us to lose so I can at least comfort myself with some monetary gains when watching us lose yet again.
  13. Symbolic of Mike Ashley’s Newcastle. One of the worst in every way. Shola's done his coaching badges hasn't he? Wonder what odds you could get on him ending up in charge.
  14. This is Newcastle United we're talking about, he'll probably fail the Fit & Proper Person test.
  15. Great game & a great way for Rafa to sign off assuming the inevitable happens.
  16. That 2nd half performance was just woeful. Really highlighted how bad some players are, like Atsu & Kenedy (would anyone have actually noticed if he hadn't come out for the 2nd half?)
