Need them to win next week so the board don't panic & sack the lunatic too early

Isn't the problem that he didn't play an advantage? The ref blew for a foul (correctly) but the play continued & they scored. Atkinson didn't really get the decision wrong (like ignoring the foul entirely or giving it the wrong way), he just didn't get it right either.

    Alan Pardew

Even if we'd signed a dozen world class players Pardew wouldn't have a fucking clue what to do with them. Don't forget the man has form for being a fuckwit with his handling of Tevez & Mascherano.

I can't take that. I just can't. 20th richest club in the world iirc. 3rd largest crowds in the PL. But for some completely fucked up reason you say we can't compete with the big clubs. And since not a single one of us expects to compete financially with Man City and Chelsea, I can only assume that by "big" clubs you mean the likes of Southampton, Fulham and fucking Norwich. Just fuck off you cowardly, lying cockend. We all know that we could compete with them easily if we wanted, we're just owned by a thief who is creaming money out of the club and into his horrid, tatty, charva clothes shop. We may have some of the highest crowds but we also have the cheapest tickets (not including the free ticket mackems). In theory, Southampton could get half our crowd & make more money, same goes for a lot of clubs. Would it be better to have more expensive tickets but have 10,000 empty seats? Possibly the only good thing that Ashley has done in the last few years is to keep down the price of tickets. That said, even with lower ticket prices we should still have the cash available to invest in the squad & there are absolutely no excuses for the way in which the club have acted in failing to invest.

it's a good side, just badly managed
  6. Sounds like a painful, embarrassing experience he does not want to talk about! he doesn't sound too convinced like Kinnear probably introduced himself as Gandhi or something. It mind boggling to think what these negotiations would have been like. Like some sort of fucking slapstick eastenders I suspect it was more like a David Lynch film, probably had Dennis Wise there too talking backwards.

Did Alan Pardew give the teamtalk? That performance was utter wank.
  8. Maybe after he's finished licking it
  9. It does make you wonder, if he's so disillusioned about Newcastle and wants to sell up, why he is wanting to buy another football club with equally partisan supporters? If he gets called a cockney cunt here, I doubt the jibes will be any less cutting if the Scots take a disliking to him. No hidden debts + he could spend a pittance in Scotland & easily qualify for the Champion's League
  10. Yeah I was genuinely shocked it actually happened. Just need him to stay fit and out of jail. With our luck it's inevitable now that he'll go to jail. Even better, the club will use it as vindication for only signing him on loan.
  11. That would have depended on how much Chelsea wanted Torres. It's a moot point, we'd have never matched, or bettered, his wages. Same goes for Defoe, he'll be a pretty high earner at Spurs & would want the same if not more to move. I don't believe we'd pay more than 60-70k per week for a player at the moment.

    Sunderland

Proof that you can't buy taste.
  13. He was planning on taking Marveaux off but he's been so anonymous that Pardew has forgotten he's playing
  14. Perhaps it's Pardew's tactical genius showing through Lads, play like shite, they'll never expect that!
  15. Can't remember who I first heard the description about, but I think it's apt - he's a player with a great future behind him.
  16. I think it's a trust problem. When Ashley has left people to their own devices it's come back to bite him in the arse in some way. - Allows Allardyce to sign players he wants, ends up stuck with utter rubbish on high wages - Lets Chris Mort set up a "system", ends up with the manager quitting (rightly) with the others in the system completely despised by the fans and shit at their jobs - Gets Llambias to run the club, despised by the fans, extremely hesitant in the transfer market to the point that Ashley apparently has to step in to push through purchases in January, fails completely to increase non-football revenues & signs a sponsorship contract that pisses off everyone I don't know if Pardew was Ashley's mate before getting the job or Llambias' mate. If it was the latter then it's another reason that Ashley might not trust people to do their jobs, if it's the former then it's probably why he's still here despite being demonstrably out of his depth. For some bizarre reason it looks like he trusts JFK hence why he keeps turning to him despite him being a lunatic. Ultimately Ashley's either going to have to bite the bullet and find someone to run the club that he doesn't know and initially trust but who can actually do the job and who knows how football works or he's going to have to be a lot more hands-on in running the club. I think you're very close to the mark. Generally in his business dealings he works with people who he has known from the very start, or has known over time and promoted. It's clearly a fkn nightmare getting people in he feels comfortable with, and then when he does they turn out to have gained his trust by basically bullshitting just how good they are in a field he knows practically sod all about. I saw Sir John Hall on TV the other day for the unveiling of the gates & thought he's exactly what the club needs at this point, Ashley should beg him to come in and run things, then I realised that Ashley hates him and Shepherd for not disclosing some of the debts that needed to be repaid when the club was sold, etc.

    Alan Pardew

The Reading game at home was the final straw for me. If I'd been in charge I'd have sacked him before the team got off the field.
  19. Nowhere near good enough. Pardew will be loving it though since we didn't concede but the lack of attacking threat is really fucking disturbing.
