The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
GeordieDazzler replied to Rich's topic in Football
Didn’t Liverpools old CEO constantly try and push for a La Liga style TV deal? -
Surely Moyes needs to buy his annual striker that he doesn’t know how to utilise properly.

Not even sure we need to play a strong side tbh -
Donaldson is thinking about his work outside the ramble so tows the tut tut Saudi Arabia line. But yeah for a Newcastle fan I’m not sure I’ve heard a pertinent bit of analysis come out his mouth this season, he seems almost embarrassed to talk about us.

Anyone having an issue getting on the website - it’s telling me they don’t recognise my details but has let me do a password reset. Weird.

State of the linesman for Hearts first goal by the way

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Frank in at Tottenham
GeordieDazzler replied to cp40's topic in Football
They’ve spent loads, FFP is there to try and stop clubs betting the house and going bust if they get it wrong. It’s perhaps easier to think of FFP as a limit on what you can lose over what you can spend. -
The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Frank in at Tottenham

Losing Nunes at a cut price due to contract Nunes being completely underwhelming and probably not increasing in value. Signing a new striker who does his ACL in the first game. Signing Guedes for £30m on a 5 year deal and him being so underwhelming that he was loaned out after 6 months. Loan to buy Cuhna who has 2 goals in 20. I think they banked on their businesses being much more successful. Now they are left with their most saleable asset probably going for much less than his worth and certainly less than the cost of a replacement. -
They saw it as a way of achieving some of the ‘levelling up’ without actually having to do anything themselves.

Yeah it’s legit hilarious that in a season they just want to be over they have to play City, Man U and us in the last three games. They must be pig sick man. I hope they CBs are in Havertz ear all game, see if they can get a reaction. -

Aye recovered really well to be fair to him
-
There was one game (Spurs I think) where the lads got nearly everyone of them Poor lad who lost would have won in every other match. People who aren’t experienced footballers really struggle to lace it once it gets to the third ball or so.

I’ve found myself watching more of his content recently and other than his cringey reactions to stuff he’s been spot on about us all season, his takes aren’t particularly ludicrous. -

Looking back at the stats it’s actually since 04/05 where Everton got top four then shanked the qualifiers. -
Edwards it’s usually pretty sound on various podcasts and sticks up for the club consistently, it’s just on Twitter and in print he seems to enjoy being a wind up merchant.
-
Gonna walk down the isle to the Champions League anthem isn’t he
-
Only Moyes, Big Sam, Klopp and Woy have more experience than him as a manager. Eddie and Pep started their managerial careers in the same year iirc.
-
Was discussing last night he must be the only manager in the country to have managed at every level of the football league and the Champions League (well he will be). He’s got a ridiculous CV if you think about it. There isn’t an English manager anywhere near him.

Drink it in man, we’re top four and we don’t give a fuck what Miguel Delaney thinks! -

And we’ve just broken our set peice duck in the last game, I like it!
